SLIDERS LAD, GET WITH ITSaid he was wearing flip flops
Mate reckons he saw Ross at John Lennon earlier.
No. I don't accept Moshiri is 'getting screwed'. Like, does the bank 'get screwed' because you pay your mortgage off without refinancing it? I don't see how either party 'gets screwed' when a contract is honoured in full unless someone screwed up to begin with.Bad deals....bailing them out...expecting him to do Elsrones/Kenwright job of ensuring we don't make bad investments? What are you really saying as very little of that makes much sense. You do however accept that Moshiri (for which I read Everton) are "getting screwed". I'm not sure why there's any confusion over the situation. The lad either wants to play for Everton or he doesn't. The Club have offered him a very good contract which he and his agent are reluctant to sign. Fair do'S if he doesn't want to sign it but don't then be surprised that the Club are pressing for an answer so they can officially put him on the transfer list....despite them wanting him to stay.
Everton's Ross Barkley looks set for summer transfer after letting new-contract deadline pass
Spurs and Manchester United are watching developments with star Goodison chiefs wanted an answer from on Monday.
Ross Barkley is ready to leave Everton after failing to meet the club’s deadline for clarifying his future.
It is the biggest clue yet that England international Barkley will refuse to sign a new contract, and effectively signal the end of his Blues career.
Chairman Bill Kenwright has led a concerted effort over the past year to keep the local-born midfielder at the club, because he is desperate to retain a strong connection between the fans and the club, despite plans to take Everton to the next level with some serious summer investment.
There is a £100,000-a-week offer on the table - the biggest deal in club history - but although manager Ronald Koeman indicated after the final game of the season on Sunday the club would make a statement within 24 hours, that has not happened.
Barkley was given a Monday deadline by Koeman, but there has been no commitment either way from the player’s representatives.
Instead, it is likely Barkley will be given until later in the week to make a final decision on whether to accept the offered terms.
It seems, though, that by delaying his decision once more, the 23-year-old is contemplating turning his back on the £5million-a-year deal.
Tottenham and Manchester United are both monitoring the situation, and could be persuaded to bid £20m for a player with one year left on his current contract.
If he says he will not sign, then Everton will seriously attempt to sell the player, with Koeman already indicating he will sign “players in Barkley’s position, wether he stays or goes, because we need more productivity in that area”.
Koeman has been linked with a move for Ajax skipper Davy Klaassen, who plays the same position as Barkley and has scored 22 goals already this season to help the Amsterdam side into Wednesday's Europa League final against Manchester United.
There is also strong interest in Swansea attacking midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson — the Blues are ready to rival Spurs in the race for the Iceland international after a stellar season for the Welshmen.

Everton offered him a contract a number of years ago. He signed it. His responsibility is to honour it. He has. You're adding additional expectation above and beyond that contract. That is not his responsibility.
My issue with it is that placing an emotional burden on someone to pressure them into signing a new contract is not on.
Say, "Here's the contract, sign it by end of season or we'll sell you." Ross can then make the decision to do so or to push for better terms, or to simply not sign it and be sold. There is no legitimate reason for it to go public.
You seem to believe I'm against contract negotiation. I'm not. I'm against someone in a position of power leveraging that power to pressure someone else into something that person is not comfortable with. In this case, Koeman has used his bully pulpit to leverage Ross's known childhood allegiance in the service of getting Ross to sign a contract that he is not signing, whatever the reason. That's unprofessional douchery. I would not personally work for someone that thought it was an acceptable method of business.
Ross wont even be involving himself in the 'snowflake' aspect of this emotional cauldron you envisage. He pays his agent megabucks to avoid the conflict of this circus and rightly so....hes earning enough to. The truth will out....no one knows what deals are on the table. Interview for a job in W.H. Smith now that he's jibbed off his contract.
Christ he clearly isn't signing he would have by now.
