Ross Barkley

Barkley would be cleaning Morgans boots in years gone bye

Ok maybe he was poor example because of how good Morgan is however, Williams is on more than him. We don't know that Barkley been offered reasonable fee. Zaha and Lingard are on more than him, so I can't understand the hatred for him for wanting decent deal.

For those who are not sure about Barkley well instead of buying Martina just give Ross 100k per week.

The manager has been great in this situation but people are jumping to conclusions and slagging him off. Same how they do to Lukaku if he talks about Champions league.

Has anyone a source to the figures? How do we know he's rejected it? Something doesn't add up here.

I do think he will stay. He's going on holiday i presume and letting his agent iron out the fine details while the manager uses ultimatums as part of negotiation saga. Just as how club are putting out 50 Million pound price tag and Ross's side are putting out links to spurs. It's all a game. If he wanted to force a move he'd put in a transfer request.

I would just pay the money he wants. It looks like from reports online that Schneiderlin earns more than him at the moment.
Probably as ross signed his last deal 3 years ago as a 20 year old. A few others get paid more currently like williams, baines, bolasie, mirallas. Talk is the club have offered to make him highest paid player so over the 100k a week schneiderlin is on. We cant justifie paying him anothet 40k just because he asked for it. He needs be the stand out player to demand the stand out money.

Hes had some bad advise an may well live to regret not taking this offer.

I just can't see anything other than an eventual agreement if it's purely financial.
The silly thing is even if he stays he is putting himself under so much pressure, the fans will be even more demanding as ever time he makes a bad decision he'll have his money demands thrown at him. For someone who seems to wilt under the pressure as it is this would seem to be very short sighted by him and his agent, cant see it ending well but love to be proved wrong

One thing's for sure, it's not improved his relationship with the fan base.

I'm not too bothered myself, if he puts this behind him and kicks on, but I know not everyone feels like that.

You make a good point. Even if he signs the contract I can see many blues getting on his case at the slightest thing. The lad would have to build bridges with the fans. He really is cooking his goose.

I can't agree with this. The club has offered him a contract yet he has declined to sign it. Furthermore he hasn't had the decency to inform the manager of his future intentions. We are currently trying to strengthen the squad prior to an early start to the season, if he was ,as you suggest, attempting to hold the club to ransom this would be an incredibly self - serving approach at this point. Personally I think he has left the club with no option but to significantly strengthen the position he plays and effectively push him back in the pecking order, and possibly make his decision for him. Foolish boy.

Dele Alli is on £50k a week, a deal he signed late in 2016. I think we will get at least £25m for Barkley, and knowing us and the fact we don't sell cheap too often, we'll probably get a few more millions in potential add-ons.

100k a week to pay for the club you have supported since a boy. Repeat this 10 times and then get rid and shows why the mentality of the player is not what we want.
ok then lets get rid and pay some pedestrian icelandic turd 120k a week instead, not to mention cuca and Troy!
