Agree with a few on here, there are not many better AMC's about than Barkley. Yes he's looked poor at times and pathetic against Arsenal but I genuinely believe if someone can get him right and his head straight he'd be quality. Yes Klassen has scored more goals, but have you seen the dutch league? Ajax PSV or Feyenoord expected to beat most teams 4 or 5 nil. The step up for Klassen will be huge. We have seen first hand how Theo Janssen and Memphis Depay have not cut it when moving up a ladder

If that's his plan, and he is quite entitled to do that, then we should let him run it down in the u23s. We shouldn't be looking to reward a player by putting him in the shopwindow when he means means to fiscally harm the club. It should be made plain, if you want to play again for the club you need to sign a new contract, if you don't, hand over your locker to Oumar and go and have a chat with Rhino.
He is a striker, just that no manager has the courage to play him in his favourite position.
...for some reason I think that is unlikely. Moshiri has said RK is ruthless, he's done a fantastic job moving players on. I wouldn't be surprised if Barkley ends up with U23s if he decides to stay.
Should Ross stay, I think we're going to look back at this thread in a couple of years and shake our heads
Poor movement in the box and lacks the 'killer' instinct. Has absolutely everything else to be a top striker unfortunately but missing those vital ingredients. Shame because if he could be taught those two things he'd be ridiculously good up top - strong, fast, good link up play, holds onto the ball well, dangerous with both feet.
I want him to stay.
But if he doesn't sign this new deal then he'll rightly be off.

Literally if he had scored 15 goals last season and nothing else changed he would be a 50m player... I feel its only goals missing. He doesn't take the headlines. And he should be scoring them! Either not getting into the right positions or flopping his chances.. I dont know.
