you keep saying this! In my experience when a player wants to leave they say so, when the contract isn't good enough they say so...the way Barkley and co are acting is unusual and imo disrespectful so it warrants an unusual response...

All Koeman did was answer a question honestly. The same answer would have been given if it had referred to any other player in the same circumstances. Its weak from any club to allow a contract to get into the last 12 months without either selling or offering a new deal,whoever the player might be. I think the interesting scenario will be when Everton tell Barkley they've sold him to Newcastle, Huddersfield, Bournemouth, Stoke or whoever, and he refuses to go.

It's what we believe in and I believe the club had offered him a fair deal. Baines, Coleman and Mirallas etc had no problem of signing new deals though. I guess his agent wants him to be the top earner and the board and manager believe his performance did not reflect he warrents such contract. Purely guessing.

It's not looking good. Barkley probably doesn't take kindly to the fact that Koeman sees him as replaceable. It also doesn't help that the World Cup is around the corner and Barkley feels like he has a point to prove to the England manager.
