Ross Barkley

He has been offered an improved longterm contract and still won't sign !!!!

It's not difficult to grasp that mate he wants to leave regardless deal with it.

I don't want players who don't want to play for the club mate

Another thing is he will probably earn less at Spurs because of their rigid pay structure, so money isn't the answer, champions league football is and Spurs have it we don't.
Can't understand all this love and remorse for Barkley, he is supposed to be a blue, we gave him his chance, stood by him when he was young and had a terrible injury and this is the way he is going to repay us. Far as I'm concerned if he goes Spurs he's a rat, deserting his hometown club and not having the balls to fight for his place. We are a club on the up, loads of new signings, a billionaire owner, with a new stadium on the docks, sod him rant over.

Most players will play for our club on inflated wages - is it wrong for Ross to want parity or just a better deal if a 31 year old Rooney commands a 150k per week - it's an easier deal for us just to up the anti on Ross Bs deal just to try and keep him better than wasting 50 million and higher wages on a 28 year old Sig - you know it makes sense with Rooney Ross could become a great player for us!!

This just in - he's not that good. He can be on his best days, but to compare him to Dele Ali or even Sigurdsson is ridiculous.

So this idea that we should just sign him and forget about Sigurdsson is missing the point. We want to upgrade the position and get players that can attack. In ANY top 6 side, Ross would get games, but he shouldn't be an automatic starter. The only reason we care about him is that he's a blue. That's it.

Ross is talented and could be great. No question. But he also doesn't want to sign the deal. If it's because Koeman gives him stick, well, he needs to grow up or else all that physical talent will be wasted without a decent mentality. Nothing he's said or done has been remotely harsh or out of line. So good for Koeman.

If he doesn't want to or isn't capable of adapting to a system, then he isn't that great of a player. There are a million kids out there with skills and talent, but you have to be able to work within some framework.

Or in 6 months if we flop our manager may be gone!

Honestly think this is a bit harsh fella. We've just welcomed back another player who "deserted" his hometown club. Granted we're in a much more appealing position now, but surely you can't be too mad at Barkley when you yourself have just stated he's going for champions league rather than money? I can respect that more than a player jetting off to china. The truth is he's probably stagnated a little here and a move is best for both us and him. I know people won't admit it but I think seeing Gerrard for years across the park left us Blues desperate for our own local boy to lead us for years to come. Barkley hasn't been able to do that and you can tell the pressure gets to him. We'll be fine without him, but I don't have any animosity towards him.

I have been waiting to long for Ross to show me he can be consistent and be a major player in our team . Answer is he can't and we need to upgrade. Koeman also knows this and wants shut of him. Simple as ! Bye bye Ross

Some of the comments in this thread illustrate exactly why he wants to leave Everton. Most of the criticism thrown his way is fair. If you look at the big picture though, he is only 23 and was still fairly productive when it's all said and done. It's almost as if a player is not allowed to fall short of expectations at F.C. Sexy.

TBH since we started signing all our new players.I haven't even calculated him in our plans,to me he has been gone for months. If we get £30 million for him then great.
Same here.
Similar to the Lukaku situation for me, I haven't thought of them in a blue shirt next season for months.
