Here is a simple benchmark! There wasnt an Evertonian alive who didnt rate Alan Ball, not an Evertonian alive who didnt rate Ray Wilson, Kanchelskis, Tricky Trev, Big Nev, Beardsley, Rooney etc. because they were undisputedly top quality players. The schizm amongst Evertonians about fat head is only there because he is not an indisputably quality player! The reason is nothing to do with natural ability, because the lad has it for all to see. The reason is because soemthing in his mentality is lacking. Whether it be confidence, determination, speed of thought, who knows! The only certainty is that he is lacking something, because the truly great defy speculation, their gifts cannot be disputed.

Koeman bollocked and made an example of him, and immediately after he started pakying like a genuine team player, burts of absolute quality supplemented bythenhard miles when we were up against it! I even recall a few quality tackles for gods sake! So, he CAN do what Koeman wsnt, but the fact of the matter is he doesnt WANT to.

Agree with this. The fact that Evertonians aren't up in arms over the potential loss of him kinda says everything.
We all want(ed) him to make it but most of us are resigned to either losing him...or accepting he's not as good as we all thought

Nothing wrong with that...its called good business. No point in throwing money away just because we have loads. The myth of 'net spend'is dead in the water, finally. Even Chelsea are business like in their transfers these days...the spend on Bakayoko(?) and others will be compensated by the fee they will receive for Costa, and they've just received £20 million for Ake. When Sky say 'so much has been spent in the window', they don't mention, that if its been spent, someone else has received it. Millions and millions is just washing around, going to one club from another, and vice versa. Its just that some clubs have immediate access to money...like City etc, and like Everton, these days.

In simple terms it's called

' content with finishing 7th ' or ' the best of the rest '

All this talk of not matching our 50m valuation. What are we waiting for? For a club to suddenly change their mind and pay it? Nonsense

The longer is goes on and the closer to deadline we get the cheaper he becomes not the other way round Everton

I'm only asking what stats you were referencing when you said stats say he isn't. When his numbers put him up there with the likes of Erikson the you can argue that he's worth an awful lot.
I seen stats that Ross made more goals take the digs free kicks away not much difference other that on can demand a high fee , and Ross someone has leapt his contract down at our club !
It's been done before eg Gosling!

The only way we will get Sigurd is if we can sell Ross for a reasonable price

Whats reasonable in this window ? We sell Ross for 30million when Kyle Walker costs 45million and we've been quoted same for Gylfi and someone like Nathan Aki costs 20million based on a handful of decent PL games. Honestly dont know the answer to that as there is no actual reasonable benchmark as it stands right now - games gone bonkers !
