You can negotiate to a point, but once he has been offered the contract that is the outcome of the negotiations, if he still didn't like what was offered at the end of the negotiations he needs to be gone ASAP as he clearly either has ideas above his station, has a poor agent doing the negotiations, or simply doesn't want to stay regardless of what was offered

I don't understand why Ross hasnt signed that contract. Is it Lukaku turning his head by telling him he should be playing for one of the big boys or his agent? The stick he gets from some Everton fans or koeman telling him he's not phenomenal? Being told he won't be key player Or Spurs tapping him up? If he leaves Everton then he'll just disappear off the radar, a bit part player in the "mythical top 6", which is only called that because of United.

Here is a simple benchmark! There wasnt an Evertonian alive who didnt rate Alan Ball, not an Evertonian alive who didnt rate Ray Wilson, Kanchelskis, Tricky Trev, Big Nev, Beardsley, Rooney etc. because they were undisputedly top quality players. The schizm amongst Evertonians about fat head is only there because he is not an indisputably quality player! The reason is nothing to do with natural ability, because the lad has it for all to see. The reason is because soemthing in his mentality is lacking. Whether it be confidence, determination, speed of thought, who knows! The only certainty is that he is lacking something, because the truly great defy speculation, their gifts cannot be disputed.

He doesn't need to be sold this week obviously. But if he hasn't signed by next weekend then negotiations need to stop for good amd he needs to be frozen out.
