Ross Barkley

Cannot believe some want an ageing and limited footballer (Sigurdsson) over a confidence shattered home grown fella who could explode any moment.

The set piece argument in favour of Sig is madness given we have both Rooney and Sandro in the squad..

Barkley is 23 and has had no progress for the last 3 years. If we can get some marbles for him let him go and bring on the Sig

He's just had his best run of form for Everton since Christmas mate. A level of maturity & consistency we'd seldom seen from him before.

Let's not rewrite history when our players decide to leave us.

this is true, all under a manager who calls it like it is and doesn't wrap him in cotton wool but he wants out, he wants CL but doesn't want to help us get there it seems. Ready made success for poor defenseless can't think for himself 'bullied' by the manager Barkley

Some people just have to accept facts. The only reason he is still here,is because nobody has come in with a concrete offer for him.As soon as that happens he's off.Oh and I am not buying the groin strain stopping him from the Tanzania trip.

True this, everyone knows he is available and no one is taking the bait, he really needs to find himself a club ASAP, he has small chance of getting the World Cup squad as it is but if he is a bench warmer next season he can forget it, Stoke, Nwecastle, Bournmouth...etc need to come in I reckon

I also think that he didn't look good in the last couple of years because around him were players not making clever runs. He's got such a good group of players around him that he's bound to do better - all he had till now was Rom asking for impossible passes to be played to him
Sorry but I seen plenty of fabulous runs and Ross just holds the ball for too long or doesn't make the clever pass.

In truth, his wonder goal vs newcastle he should have played the ball to Rom about 6 times but he didn't.

Newcastle seems the right fit for him to me.Working class one team city with a big stadium and fan base. Also, little chance of him getting a slap in town from a rival supporter.

It's alright doing a killer pass, but you have to have forwards in place to pass it to, a brand of attacking football away from home where we have created very little!

I said the same about lukaku but we sold him cheap to a rival. He even had two years left

Can't see us keeping him because the club will want the money rather than lose him. Something has gone badly wrong in the Ross Barkley saga and we will regret it big time come a year or two

Lukaku had to go. He was poison in a dressing room stacked full of young promising stars.

This club wants to win. To win the players have to pull together in the same direction. He just wants to pull Pogba and belittle the club that gave him a chance when he was cast aside.

Regarding Barkley I hope he stays. But. He is not the 'Mr Everton' I hoped he would be. Our talisman, the match winner and leader. He never talks the club up or rallies the team taking games by the scruff of the neck. Seeing him out in bars chasing women and getting in fists fights is crazy for a man earning the vast wealth they are rewarded these days.

Numerous managers have now appeared to grow frustrated with him, be that Everton or England or even Colin when he was on loan at Leeds.

I am gutted that it appears to be the beginning of the end of this 'Evertonian.

If he leaves hopefully he will prove himself to have always been the false dawn and he becomes the next Jack Rodwell.
