Ross Barkley

I think we hold the cards here, its in Ross's interest to sign or persuade Spurs to fork out the cash because he's going to want to be on show with it being Wc year. Either Spurs pay up or we leave him in the reserves if he doesnt sign a new contract.

Another spurs fan posted a few weeks back saying he's been played wide to bed him in a bit before pushing him centrally. A bit like what we're doing with DCL. RE Barkley. Personally I think he's not ready to be CM in a midfield 2 but has the potential to do that. Needs to work on his defensive side of his game and currently better as part of a midfield 3 or part of a front 3 which he did for us last year

I think Poch will have lots of options for him to play in. Dembele type, number 10, counter attack. Would be a great asset in Europe

If he doesn't sign and ends up staying at the club for the remainder of his contract, there is always the possibility he could reconsider his position if he see's that the club is moving in the right direction(top 4)

If he doesnt go to Spurs before the end of the window then imo he will sign a new contract as he will struggle to cope with 40,000 people watching him knowing he wont sign a deal/wants off.

I don't think it's that to be honest mate. He can see already what we are doing with signings and the new stadium. I think it's either the manager or a non footballing reason if he does want out

If he doesn't sign he will go. It will just come down to price but we were willing to pay full whack for Keane because we wanted him early. I don't think we can apply that.

I wonder how he'll be received at Goodison when he returns with Spurs seeing as he rejected around a hundred grand a week to play for the team he apparently loves. I imagine there will be a lot of anger towards him and I completely understand why.

There's a lot of anger towards him now....and he hasn't even gone yet.....

My money is on a non footballing issue. He needs to be scoring more on the pitch and less of it

Mine to, you never know though. Maybe he just mentally isn't up for the fight of pushing for his spot in a competitive squad and doesn't like the fact Koeman is prepared to pull him when he doesn't play well. I think there's something Koeman doesn't like about Ross, I do think he gets singled out more then most but then ability wise he is the most frustrating player we have when you look at all the boxes he ticks. It's a shame those one or two he doesn't tick are probably what's stopping him being first choice for any team in the country

Give him 150k a week. He's a leading English midfielder with great potential. This may be RonKo's watershed moment ...
