The point Joey is that the Club atmosphere was very poor, regardless of league position or having won the Cup. It is not like he took over a happy camp and turned it into a mess.
Sanchez Flores had got CL in 05/6 (they got to the QF in the 06/7 CL), and in 06/7 - finishing 3rd in La Liga. Yet he was sacked by October 07 before RK was appointed. Hardly the nicest dressing room to walk into!

Right now, looking at our squad Koeman is infinitely more valuable than Barkley, and that's before someone like Sigurdsson is signed as well. I won't actually be sad to see Ross go as much as I wanted him to come good. Having younger more fired up lads like Davies, Lookman, DCL, Dowell and Kenny makes me not mind it he goes.

What amazes me is that most see to be making the assumption that his decisions are based upon the team, and the management of the team. Maybe he no longer feel comfortable in Liverpool as a city. If that's the case, then no amount of Money/love from Koeman will help him.

What on Earth has Ross Barkley done in an Everton shirt to deserve such steadfast loyalty from you, also leading to you to wish the club should bend over backwards and give in to any demands he might have??? If you asked any Everton fan for a list of Barkley's 10 best games for the club, 6-7 on that list would likely come from his first proper season, underlying a problem many of us have with him. A few pages back you accused people of having short memories when Barkley scored that nice goal against Watford in our final home game, well my memory of that goal then and now was: "nice one Ross, you've finally scored 5 premier league goals, i expected that by Christmas but whatevs..."
And now you're trawling through history to find any dirt on Koeman that might best explain why Ross will not sign his new deal. There is probably only one other player in our squad who has a gripe with Koeman and that is Niasse, and I can understand that one. This notion that Koeman is driving Barkley out is without a doubt the most tiresome on here and holds no truth whatsoever. Barkley could have a career at Everton for life if he wants, Koeman will probably be gone in two years.
This whole situation is very strange but for God's sake Joey, expand your gaze just a LITTLE bit!

Because the situation at Valencia he arrived into was already divided and toxic mate, his mistake was trying trying to sort it during a season - rather than putting up with it then cutting the cancer out during the summer.
As i said - he learned from that time obviously, and Mata who he brought through into that Valencia squad still thanks him for it.
As i said though - Mourinho lost an entire dressing room Joey, and he was a hell of a lot more experienced in managing teams than Koeman was

Koeman wants Barkley to stay, hence the contract offer, if Barkley leaves Everton its because he has chosen to.
If Ross wants to leave cause Koeman lost the Valencia dressing room 10 years ago, then I for one, don't blame him.
