Ross Barkley

I would like him to stay - but if he wants a new manager he is off!
we will drop our price like we did for Lukaku - as anyone released the add ons for him as its been a wee bit secretive the same sort of deal may happen with Ross - 50 million is pie in the sky now!
Don't think we lowered the price for lukaku...75m, 15m in particularly achievable add ons by all accounts and Rooney.

No he doesn't.
And it's about the all round package with Ross - on and off the pitch. Ross getting chinned in town was the final straw for RK. Underlined a lack of discipline and professionalism which he just won't tolerate.

The relationship is broken beyond repair.

Ross is genuinely injured though.

So if this is the real reason, why the charade about a contract being offered / re-offered?

Surely more to it than just that you'd think.

As the OP said it's the whole package
His performance on the pitch is not consistent enough and his performance off the pitch leaves a lot to be desired
I understand he's a young lad with plenty of money and a permanent erection but surely he can be advised to keep it in his pants when out in public.
There are surely more discreet if expensive ways of getting your end away.
I hope ROSS stays.
I think there is a very good player in there somewhere but I doubt he will stay.

Only issue with this mate is that, if he'd told the club he definitely isn't signing, which may or may not have happened, I'm pretty sure his people will have already informed Spurs of that, or any other interested party for that matter.

The club keeping mum would therefore have no effect on the value of bids coming in.

Even so, I still think the club will hold out for a price close to their valuation. If anyone tries to get a last minute bargain buy I just think we'll say no. In fact, the closer it gets to deadline day the more we'll want as it becomes harder to replace Ross.

Ahhh valid point mate!!
But if koeman is going to isolate him from the first team if he doesn't sign, then surely £25 million (wether they want more or not) would have to be accepted. If he's still here come September and hasn't signed will koeman select him?!

As it's better than nothing and having an unhappy player with any squad at Everton, first or u23s??

Where's the 15 million add on breakdown?
Not seen it just heard about it ?
Reports on various sites etc just say they are 'achievable'. Don't actually give a break down.
United don't actually tend to announce their fees according to their fans, not sure how true that is like. But yeah.

They dont boo their own lad, and gert behind locals more than ee ever have.

Pabbers, if Ross wants out, it's got F all to do with the fans (though I agree, the stick he gets does get on my nerves, he also gets a lot of leeway as well).

If he wasn't a local lad, would you be so staunchly defending him despite the fact he's declined one of the best contract offers in our history?

I don't know too much about the inner workings around the contract offer etc but I would suspect the offer made would have been deliberately low enough to show we'd made some effort but in the full knowledge he was unlikely to sign it.

Ross really needs to get out of the city if he's going to develop imho
