Ross Barkley

Ultimately it comes down to Koeman.
If he really wants Barkley to stay then he can refuse all offers, if there are any, and in the next twelve months try to make Everton as successful as possible with Barkley a central part of that.
But, does he really want Barkley to stay ?

No he doesn't.
And it's about the all round package with Ross - on and off the pitch. Ross getting chinned in town was the final straw for RK. Underlined a lack of discipline and professionalism which he just won't tolerate.

The relationship is broken beyond repair.

Ross is genuinely injured though.

He may well be injured, but it's a groin strain...Bolasie has a much bigger injury and yet he travelled.

You'd expect players to travel to bond with their teammates. He's off.
I haven't the foggiest whether all this injury talk is just a smokescreen or whether it's real. What I do know is that 2 x 8 hour flights in the space of 3 days is not the best way to treat a soft tissue injury. It needs proper physio work in the medical room. Same with the Holland/Belgium trip.

he travelled to tanzania as a PR thing, he hasnt travelled to the netherlands

Perhaps it's just another example of Ross's trouble making decisions. Wether it's in the final third or the managers office. He will likely keep going until he gets in trouble due to indecision or inability to read the game.

Sounds stupid but (trying to word properly)

Even though he hasn't signed the contract, has he actually told the club 'no I'm not going to sign'

Then with that if he has told them, the club may be playing on this to get a bigger fee?

As if Everton were to come out and say he's rejected, then the likes of spurs will surely use this to their advantage with an offer nowhere near the valuation?

Edit: is keeping his options open, rejecting a new deal?! (Wether it's right or wrong) until he actually says 'no' then he's not rejected?
Only issue with this mate is that, if he'd told the club he definitely isn't signing, which may or may not have happened, I'm pretty sure his people will have already informed Spurs of that, or any other interested party for that matter.

The club keeping mum would therefore have no effect on the value of bids coming in.

Even so, I still think the club will hold out for a price close to their valuation. If anyone tries to get a last minute bargain buy I just think we'll say no. In fact, the closer it gets to deadline day the more we'll want as it becomes harder to replace Ross.

Not really mate. If he is injured then he is getting it treated to speed things up whereas Bolasies has been treated and its a case of waiting about for the repairs to heal.

Funes didn't travel, neither did Coleman.

Bolasie travelled for commercial reasons and, he's actually recovered from the surgery now. He's started light training etc.

mock me the same source told me Rooney was coming when the papers were saying he was off to china - !
Tommye you stated he was signing from your bottle of HP sauce!
unless there is a great change of mind I have heard he is deffo going!
Not just up to Ross though mate. I agree it's looking unlikely he's going to sign a new contract, but somebody still needs to match up to our valuation before he goes Joey. He could end up stuck with us during a world cup year, so he'll have to buckle down and fight for his place. If he does end up staying, I think he will have the right attitude. I also hope the fans aren't too hard on him which I think depends on how he performs. Play like he did for the 3/4 months after Christmas and he'll be all right.

I would like him to stay - but if he wants a new manager he is off!
we will drop our price like we did for Lukaku - as anyone released the add ons for him as its been a wee bit secretive the same sort of deal may happen with Ross - 50 million is pie in the sky now!
