Ross Barkley

Probably on the same money albeit with a release clause. I certainly wouldn't give him a pay rise.
We don't know what is really happening here or indeed the relationships between player/agent and manager/club.

We can only surmise and suggest scenarios.
As I said previously the relationship between manager and player is key and we are just guessing at what that might be.
The 50m fee being stubbornly demanded by Swansea for Sigurdsson may even be a factor in this particular scenario.

But I thought you just said he was only after a big salary and signing on fee and was holding the club to ransom?

Now it's because he's running away from gangsters?

Do you want to decide which Barkley rant you want to run with and then try and remember to be consistent?

Anger knows no limits.....

I honestly wouldn't play him. It would serve as a warning to anyone else tempted to run down their contract and ruin his chances of going to the World Cup. If we can freeze out Niasse for doing nothing wrong we can do this.

Plus it may actually force him to sign (with a release clause) or to find himself a new club in January.

That plan worked out well didn't it?
Remind me what club he's now at.

Some ex-page3 girl turned sports broadcaster/journo (how's that for the arl weasel index!?) has tweeted that Spurs & Barkley have agreed terms but Spurs and us are still agreeing on a fee. Spurs offer £20m+add ons but we want £25m+add ons.

We "froze" Niasse out, Not because he refused a contract, He just wasn't Koemans type of player... Presumably.

Be a giggle if that add on was spelt KANE.

Which I somehow doubt.

That's because he's rubbish and we did get him off our books for 6 months.

I would play and front 4 of Sandro, Rooney, Klassen and Davies. If Ross decides to run down his contract then I certainly wouldn't drop any of those for a player who is going to leave at the end of the year. It's debatable if he's any better anyway.

I think if we could swap the two without spending money the deal would have been done by now but Swansea are holding out so therefore so are we. Eventually someone will blink and it will probably be us.
