I think it's a bit of an issue - would do a lot more off the ball if he wasn't lugging about all of that needless weight

Errrrm - their is one division in the entire of Boxing that fighters don't do the exact opposite of what you just said mate, boxing is all about boiling yourself down to the absolute minimum weigth you can do whilst retaining strength

Mate he's a bulky lad but all of that will be muscle pretty much. It's what gives him his power and pace which is one of his biggest assets.

And he doesn't have to do more off the ball - RM often indicates for him to lay off from diving in as that isn't his game (yet). That side of the game comes with experience for a player like Barkley. I'd rather see him use his energy attacking than pressing pointlessly.

Fairdos to you... I'd like to see him lose a bit of that weight if it meant he did a bit more running
