well you seem to be avoiding any sort of point right now, I'll try and help if you like, how about englishmen giving 100%, had a lot of success that formula recently?
So what exactly is the point you're trying to argue? Do you actually believe that Delle Alli is a technically limited footballer?

The two teams fighting it out for the title both have an Englishman who actually leads the line and makes life easier for his teammates. Unless you think their managers are disappointed at having to settle for what they have instead of enjoying the privilege of watching Lukaku stroll about every week, then surely you'd say the formula is working quite well?

I have to say, talking to such a sophisticated observer as yourself has really been an eye-opener for me. Mad to think that Rooney, Lampard, Scholes, Beckham, Terry, Cole, Gerrard, Carragher, Cahill, Neville and Brown are all looking forlornly at their European Cup and Premier League medals and saying, 'you know what; I'd trade it all to have a few more jarg Cruyff turns and dribbles up blind alleys on my YouTube highlights.'

needs a rocket up the ass, hopefully from the new manager.

had a decent season overall but he's faded badly in the past couple or so months.

no I was highlighting how ridiculous it was for you to assume that I think all englishmen who give '100%' are crap, and all those english won jack without the technical 'jarg' cruyff's, whomever it is you thing they are, that manged somehow, against all the all the odds, despite in your opinion not working hard enough, to get wes brown some medals

Madness, our defence are at the back playing hopscotch while goals fly in from 6 yards out and people want to criticise our attacking players.

Barkley was quite poor tonight but he looked dangerous early on and was by no means one of the worst.

At this moment in time Alli looks to be the better player, he's great going forward, technically brilliant and has a far superior defensive game and gets stuck in. The question is can he maintain it past his first season or will he have a poor second season like Barkley ? I can't see that happening given how good Spurs are at the moment.

I hope the new manager can get the best out of Ross, there is an amazing player in there but it feels like he's not developing as well as I had initially hoped despite having a pretty good season. He needs to get more fire in his belly, he had it on his first start under Martinez when we played Norwich 3 seasons ago on the opening day of the season. He harassed other players and utilised his physical attributes.

Where is this Ross ?

I think there might be a case of barkley doing gym work on his violation that is actually doing him more harm. due to martinez lack of actual fitness work in training plus his lengthy lay off last season. The lad work rate is poor but this is very much the whole squad atm.

That seems so long ago. Haven't seen him press the ball like that at all this season
