sell him see what he does elsewhere .... Rodwell Gosling ... Barkley 3 of the same

He'll likely be very good and win lots of trophies.

The boo boys will look on, like they do Rooney, in envy in how we sold a boyhood blue and he achieved all of his success elsewhere.

They'll be longing for the day that he returns for a season or two so they can call him 'One of us' yet they were the reason he left in the first place.

I love ya Roscoe.

With Barkley and rom on form we look a very good team. If one of those two has a lapse in form we are crap. Team set up too dependent on 2 players. Hence the crapness. Need at least 5 to 6 good players with the rest being the workhorses to get away with loss of form from the likes of rom and ross. Rom and Ross do actually stink the place out when struggling yet set the place alight when on form. Hopefully the new manager recognises this and helps take the burden of responsibility off there young shoulders.

He and many others have been let down by the Manager.

The manager seems to refuse point blank to help develop his game, likewise with John Stones. Add to the fact that the fitness regime at the Club is quite possibly the worst thing ive seen.

Barkley is an incredible player. One of the elite midfielders in the game. The problem we've got with him is that he needs structure and a defined role and he needs to be involved for 90 minutes because the issues he has are with concentration and intensity. All of this "come alive with the ball at your feet" and letting McCarthy do all his running is ruining him and I blame the manager entirely.

Hopefully the next manager comes in, gets a grip of him and makes him the complete midfielder he should be.

I think he needs competition- we need to invest another CAM who is equal or better (ideally) to compete for the first team with Barkley. Lucas Lima the cam who plays for Santos and linked with Everton in the papers today would be good for example.

Did the manager tell him to stand still and start blowing out of his arse as he was robbed of the ball, or to consistently give the ball away on the half way line by mis controlling it?

The whole squad is not fit enough, so yes it is the managers fault he is blowing out of his arse.

.....from an offensive perspective the current team model is almost totally dependent on Barkley. There are very few other options linking back to front, especially when RM plays an industrious wide player on the right and one who links with Lukaku on the left.

For me the whole team effectiveness has been diminished with the decision to leave Deulofeu on the sidelines. It's not only that he created chance after chance for Lukaku but he was a link and out ball for Barkley. Just look at the clips before Christmas and you will see how often Barkley and Deulofeu effectively linked.

Whoever comes in needs to ensure we have a fluid attacking model and not one dependent on a single hotspot.

Maybe seeing how quickly Alli has jumped ahead of him in the England team will give Barkley pause for thought over the summer.

He's lucky to even have a seat on the plane.

Wouldn't sell him, but needs a massive rocket (they all do to be fair). Big season for him next year, hasn't progressed at all in 3 years and looks a bit chunky these days. I like him, bit of a luxury player that sometimes doesn't put the effort in, but capable of a game winning moment. Hope he can kick on under a new manager. Still massively over rated by evertonians.
