...but we might be wrong. I said in the match thread that I thought Mirallas provides an added dimension (than Barkley) because he is always looking to score a goal and frequently goes beyond Lukaku. Saying that, we really lacked a bit of passing quality today and without Barkley we do go long to Lukaku.

Swings and roundabouts but you can see what RK is looking for, much more complete individuals who offer more than one aspect of the game. If we look back in a few seasons perhaps we'll realise RK found a few players out. Time will tell.
 

Sad thing for me today is that we just didn't miss him and we should be. I saw nothing in today's game to say that he would have added anything to the side, it was pretty much the same poor performance we have been having when he has been playing. :(

So what does that say about how the team is playing?

Its either the players fault or the manager.

Personally go for the latter but that's just me
 
Has gone and disabled comments on instagram now, wow. The abuse he gets is absolutely shocking and disgusting. How do we expect a player to improve or flourish at this club if we continuously and ruthlessly cut them down when they're out of form? If he truly goes off the deep end then a small piece of the blame genuinely has to be put on us as fans.

Agree for the main part but I am also coming to the conclusion that we are just not good enough and that's down to the players, obviously it's not their fault though. Barkley as much as I would love him to make it just isn't going to cut the grade I'm afraid.

Really hoping that's because other fans who were watching the game on TV are taking the piss of his 'crying' moment and not our own fans.

If a fan can't see how much he loves the club and how he is purely a confidence player, they're an idiot.

This might be true but problem is so many of our fans have this delusion he is some kind of a gem, and he isn't.

That aside our fans are pathetic the way we throw abuse at our own players, the support today was just awful
