I'd argue moyes finishing 4th was our best premier league season, and if your claiming semi finals are success moyes achieved a final. How you can defend Martinez in mind boggling

I was thinking that the moves may be linked as well. Either Ross is saying he wants to stay and therefore Everton don't need Gylfi quite the same, or no one has come in for Ross and we need the money from his sale to fund Gylfi.

There just doesn't seem to be any clubs bursting a gut to sign Ross. Clubs seem to be prepared to wait to get him at a cheaper price.
That cannot inspire Ross or his agent.
Hopefully he will reconsider and sign a new contract. I think RK still wants Sigurdsson but it will give Everton a stronger bargaining position.

Why would anyone pay over £100k a week to an injured player whose value diminishes the closer the closing of the window gets.

He will be fully aware of each & every club that are planning on bidding he has apparently turned down £115k a week that's £23.9 million For a 4 year deal.

Now I know some people say he isn't the brightest but it's fantasy land for anyone who believes he isn't completely aware of the moves available to him & the wages on offer.
