and if he does go that route, see what his contract offers and list of suitors will be like after sitting not playing footy for a year - cos make no mistake there is no chance in hell Koeman will play him next season.

As it stands right now, no-one really wants him that much to make a serious offer, what's the list gonna be like in 12 months time
We won't sit on it for that long and waste a pay day. He'll probably go for like 20-25m at the end of the window. My guess would be Spurs but honestly not shocked if he lands at West Ham.

Its a shame the club cant match his ambitions.

Thank you Ross, we will miss you.

You really think that's the reason? We are signing players... getting a stadium... signing some of the best young players in Europe... and we aren't ambitious enough. ?Ross's ambition is to earn 150k a week , get into the England team without actually playing well , smash as many blokes gf as he can and trying to get medals without actually being arsed to work for it...

A self proclaimed Evertonian turning down over 100k notes a week to play for us.

The mind boggles.

Should be sold asap and not even arsed on fee. Take 20m and cut our losses. Better to have no bad eggs in the squad ruining the atmosphere for new signings

What a joke, what's he after a comfier bench to sit on? The lads achieved nothing here so what makes him think he deserves better?

Rather have players who want to be here and don't cry every time the crowd gets on their back

The seats in the Spurs dig out Doo look heaps more comfy than ours tbf

Well, he's offered more than that.

That first season was a thing to behold. For all Martinez's faults he gave the lad the freedom to express himself and some of the things he did were superb.

Not hit the heights - though has shown glimpses of it - since, though I do think the last five months of this season he was on the whole excellent.

We'll be swapping him for a currently better player in Gylfi, though, and with Klaassen, Davies, Sandro, Lookman etc we've really got a new-look Everton core.

Yes, two years ago we all thought the 'fab four' would be taking us places. But in the end, it never materialised and I haven't and won't be massively concerned by seeing any of them go. They've brought us no success, and Koeman is in my mind the best manager currently in the league when it comes to overhauling a squad and getting results at the same time.

Did he ever make a difference in a game that truly mattered and had a weight of importance on it mate?

Cup games from the QF on for example, games when it was in our hands for top 4 a few years ago, derby games excpet for the very first one he played in, he's gone missing at worst and been irrelevant in those games at best.

a cracking individual goal against a absolutely terrible Newcastle side, bending one in the top bin against City the same season (when most blues wanted us to lose), hardly the stuff of legend like.

Martinez you could argue initially allowed Ross to shine at the detriment overall of the actual team, no top manager does that, when he had to knuckle down he quit basically -

Maybe so lad. Maybe so.

He was the most exciting player I'd seen come through the ranks at Everton since Rooney.

And while I didn't think he'd be here forever, it seems that he's picked a ridiculous time to leave us when we're evidently going places and the club/manager want him to be part of that.

Head turned, evidently.
