Quotes from our former Captain, Phil Neville:

“He’s leaving Everton Football Club. Ronald Koeman has said that,” said Neville. “I think he’s a top, top player and I think he needs to play for one of the top clubs in the Champions League.

“If you look at clubs go to, managers to play for, I can only see one - and that’s Mauricio Pochettino.

“I think Jose (Mourinho) likes ready-made (players) and I can’t see him joining Manchester United. Will he develop at Arsenal or Chelsea? I think Tottenham’s the only club for him.

“I think Ross Barkley has to choose the right manager, someone who is going to improve him and challenge him, and more importantly someone who is going to coach him and make him a better footballer.

“Pochettino is that man.

“I think there are enough games and opportunities at Tottenham where he can fit in.

“He needs to be taken out of his comfort zone.

“He has got the ability to step up.”

Sorry, but from what I have seen of Ross over the last few years, he is light years away from being able to play for a Champions League side.
Phil Neville with his chin like a Japanese POW's elbow.

Do one you finger pointing, son of a sex pest.

In this market, selling him for that would be absolute madness.
If you would have forecast at the bookies we may sell our best two players Lukaku , and ross for around 100 million before transfer deadline day - what odds would you have got ?
those Lukaku's 15 million add ons where are they bill, and Mosh??????????????????????

Leicester had players far worse than Ross who got to the 1/4 finals of the champions league!

What's your point?

Eric Djemba Djemba has a Premier League title medal too.
Ross is not as bad as the ones who are narked he has not signed for us - I am upset he has not signed, but still feel he has ability to go on and be a very good midfielder - better than we have at the moment anyway - hes going- I wish him well - Is Tom Davies going to get this treatment if he decides he had enough?
signing klassen was ok but to go after another centre mid - with one forward is mind blowing at 50 million!

I would imagine his point is that someone saying 'he is light years away from being able to play for a Champions League side' is patently rubbish, and thought he actually made it quite easy to understand by using a specific example of worse players who last year had a good CL run. Helpfully you've added your own example to back him up so now we can put that one to bed. Good work all round guys.

So, just so I am clear - Marcus Albrighton is a Champions League level player? Thanks for clearing that up for me.
