Not ross a boyhood blue does not just want to upsticks - somethings gone wrong!
And maybe everything is exacally as it seems and Ross wants out because he's can't cope with Koemans tough live style management? Maybe Ross just doesn't care about the club as much as some of his fanboys should have us bealieve and is simply looming out for number one? (A motive I could at least understand if it wasn't for the fact that moving to Spurs and not being a regular starter will damage his career).

Maybe is speculation, if we new he had itchy feet why was his contract sorted last year?

Yes - he would blend into any midfield - he could develop a great partnership with SIG!
What I was getting at was you moved the goal posts Joey.

You said Koeman would never play him, I then asked you would you play him and your response was...Yes if he signed a contract. Well wakey wakey Joey he hasn't signed a contract and is not likely to either.

Ross with a grade 3 tear will be only fit in about Nov/Dec so if he has not signed he will be going in January no way would the club risk him if his hammy tore again - if he signed his contract then yes in the future - this lad to the blinkered few is a class act in normal circumstances a 50 million + player

CFC were prepared to risk it now.

Even if the club unloads him in January, it will not get anything like the Chelsea offer. And possibly, he will hang around till next summer and
bag a massive signing-on fee. Maybe Bourney is right and there is an informal agents' deal in place.. Anyway. I hope he has a tough time.. he deserves it

As i then stated he will be sold in january with his injury very unlikely he will play in the under 23s!
No way would you play an unsettled player after an operation with an injury like this he will get offloaded in January end of - I was hoping he would sign his contract - no chance now!

So what was the point of saying "Koeman will never play him"?

Koeman should not play him even if he's here in March/April and fully fit. It just sends out all the wrong signals.

Btw are you aware he was also on Liverpools books as a child? Maybe just maybe he's not the Evertonian everyone is led to believe after all. In fact he only joined Everton because once he started secondary school he was expected to bus it to training for Liverpool where as Everton laid on a minibus.

...with Rooney, Sigurdsson, Vlasic and Klaassen all capable of playing Barkley's role, I wonder if the contract offer will be withdrawn. £100k per week for a player the club have effectively replaced might not make sense.

If they withdraw the contract offer that would be the biggest mistake in this whole saga. If he was to sign that "bit of paper" he instantly becomes a huge financial asset to the club. Hence the contract will stay on the table until he finally walks.

It's funny how the only people still left defending Ross are also people who hate Koeman. Come on lads be rational, there's other blues in here who have no great love for Ronnie yet are never the less able to separate their dislike for him and this whole fiasco which is all down to Barkley.
Quite right...

I'm undecided on Koeman, I think he's done a decent job of mopping up the mess the other gobshite left behind, but I want to see more progress and I'm desperate for some/any form of silverware. The jury is still out.

Barkley on the other hand has turned Turk on his own people. What's there to defend?

Nope!!!

He shouldn't be allowed the privilege.

Barkley is a man boy whose talent as footballer as slowed down if not regressed. I suspect he is far more interested in what football offers him off the field. Hence where we are with him. He is worth a punt by other clubs because may just come good again and sell a few shirts, but well down the asset list. There are caveats to the following but Barkley situation thus far is not one of them for me, indeed, if he has an ounce of professionalism he will get his head down and work hard and get back to being a good professional and it would foolish of Everton not utilise any asset for our greater good.

..I understand but I genuinely think he'll struggle to get a game ahead of the new acquisitions so he might not be in demand from other clubs. It's a fair point you make, but only if we can move him on.

RK may have been the problem been here 12 months - we have lost Lukaku - Delboy - fell out with KM - possibility of falling out with Ross - its his team now if we slump he will be gone = sacked!
Transfer deadline day where was he playing golf abroad?

I can only speak for myself Bungle, but I'm confident that deipnosophist (spelling?) would echo my sentiment in telling you to ...."grow a pair, pal!!"
