So what Joey?

One wants to play football for Everton, and one wants to play football for Spurs.
Rather the 45 million went on an out and out goal scorer!
Klassen was already signed choice already made if funds were tight and the knew Ross was going we have duplicated one position for Ross imo!

..give a top player the football and he makes something happen. No excuses. Henderson didn't break sweat at Goodison and Barkley ended up kicking him.

One off games innit. Plenty of times Barkley did make things happen. I'd be lying if I said I think we're a better team without him but we are where we are.

I didnt even know he made that statement earlier till a few mins ago,.basically as we know he couldnt care less about his boyhood team with the comments he will assess all his options in January when fully fit-hes hoping no doubt that spurs will do a deal,or whoever then,he could not wait to get it out that he didnt have a medical when i do actually think he did and then did change his mind myself-think hes trying to face save here-plus does that mean he acting as though hes out for months the way that statement says, supposedly was a 3-4 week injury wasnt it-if Barkley signed or not i was not bothered and this was months ago,now i am even more less bothered if by a miracle he changed his mind

..watch his performance in both Derbies, Joey. I so much want the lad to be good but he lets us down too often. It's ok to pick out that 1-0 but they are few and far between.
Same as you mate you want him to be great for us but deep down you know it's not going to happen doesn't impose himself on enough games for me,I had him down as a future captain it just hasn't happened for him and now he is starting to let himself down.

Not a single person on here wouldnt put themselves first, y'all fooling nobody.

Yes because Ross has it sooo difficult staying where he is? Seriously; he plays for his boyhood club, was offered over £100 grand to carry on playing for his boyhood club yet when a glamorous London club flashes a bit of leg (and £££) he all of sudden wants to go?

..that's a reasonable view. I always think about the situation if I was advising the player but this could become seriously unstuck for him.

The Champions offered £35m, meaning he immediately pocketed £3.5m plus a massive salary increase. He's walked away from that. Spurs might have a change of mind or might not meet Everton's January evaluation. He can walk on a Bosman in 12 months but I'm not sure if many top clubs will be queuing to buy him having had a season out.

Him and Spurs might not be holding the aces, he might come very unstuck for not grabbing the opportunity when it arose.
Aye, that is my thinking too.

I can understand Ross putting himself first and even saying "Spurs are the only club I want" because he believes that Pochettino would be the best manager to develop his talents. But if his heart was set on Spurs why even get part way down the road with Chelsea, only to break it off late on deadline day? He's doing a world of hurt to his professional reputation by messing any buying club about like that, especially the previous season's champions.

Add in the injury and the fact he has no idea how his recovery will go, his presumable desire to play in the world cup and no certainty that Spurs will want him in Jan or summer and I really don't think he's handled his options well for his own future irrespective of the relationship with Everton.
