That's BS. Ross has had plenty of support, just not the arm around the shoulder best mate manager nonsanse. Koeman was actually trying to help Ross in a practical sense by making the lad try to better himself. Barkley got worse season by season under Martinez doing the arm around the shoulder rubbish but improved last season with Koemans tough love. Who actually gives a dam about the player here, the one who feeds the lad what he wants to hear or the man who tells Ross what he needs to hear?

Yes behind closed doors all that should be done not in press conferences. I've no issue Ross being told a few home truths behind closed doors but critising him in public is poor and it's now left with this situation. Barkley has not been supported by koeman in my opinion

I may be stupid, but I'm not bitter. I've never rated Barkley as much as many of you have. I don't really think it's a big deal if he leaves. Which also happens to be the way of thinking of our manager.

You don't know what Koeman thinks.

BTW, I see his faults. They're there to see, but if he ever got his head straight & focused, he could get into any team.

The boys an enigma, I'll admit that much. But he's also extremely talented and definitely someone I'd rather have in our squad than not.

I made my peace with Lukaku and Ross leaving a long, long time ago, im not gonna hide from the fact that we are losing 2 outstanding players, but ok, we go again.

Dunno about 5 years. He was outstanding in Martinez' 1st season. He was our best player in enough games last season. The ability is there.

The only people who know are the ones who know the player, his character & attitude etc.

We will see what happens this season. I hope he stays.
