He's half killed the club. It's on its knees.

Nevertheless, a good manager can struggle through to January picking up hard earned points by being creative. If they cant then they aren't good managers.

Honestly Dave, I disagree, we simply do not have a team capable of winning football matches, no number 9, no focal point in attack, we will beat the odd team who dont want it, but ive never seen such a squad of players in all my days supporting this club.

How many teams have played with a false nine?

Barkley coming back again can see us spark to life.

I should have said currently, we need a spark, maybe 1 of the long termers coming back will give us that, Ross seems the most likely to return, but if we can get Coleman, Yala and Ross back, things will improve 10 fold.
It's about squeezing out 15 points or so from 33 until early January.

RB helps us to a lot of that.

We'll have no EL to bother us second half of the season and we'll have a striker.

I'm guessing we'll get between 45 and 48 points this season....maybe more.

Ive looked at our fixtures Dave, I honestly cant even see when we even pick up a point, we are a dead fish.

Of course. In this state no fixture looks winnable.

But a win before the next break, a change of manager and the return of The Prince....

...the other consideration for Barkley is the curse of the hamstrings. Those things finished me off and they still pop to this day. I said similar at the outset of McCarthy’s problems, suggesting it might be wise to cash in. Players tend to protect their movement, even subconsciously.

I have doubts we will see much of Barkley again in an Everton shirt. Even when fit, he will be susceptible to a set back and I don’t think he’ll be pushing himself with a move to Spurs beckoning.

I think McCarthy is a special case with us. He was insanely handled by Martinez, placing back in harms way as soon as he could.

Ross hasn't had that sort of abuse. I have high hopes he'll be fine.

Can't see Spurs thinking they need him anymore

Seamus wouldn't stand for the spineless crap we've witnessed recently and Bolasie would certainly add directness with pace and power. I'm not sure how useful Ross would be right now it completely depends where his heads at

Ross should have been like Delle Ali - a few years ago they were on a par with each other...then what happened?
Tottenham and Everton were almost sort of on the same level - not financially but sort of kind of in the league places.
Look what happened!
A few years ago Barkley was ahead due to age but then again so were we ahead of Spurs.

Watching Delle Ali if you were Barkley what would you do. People say he won't play at Spurs. Sissoko plays now, Ali will probably be sold to Real Madrid in the summer. It's a bit of a no brainer.

Still doesn't mean he hasn't royally screwed over his boyhood club.
