I know mate and apololigies. Shouldnt take it out on you. What can I say?. Everton bring out the worst in me.

Still think you're wrong like. Apart from doing untold long term damage to the club this appointment will divide the fans just like Brexit has divided the country.
What will be will be, there's nothing that you or me can do about it. So we might as well go with the flow or give up on football. We've just had 2 manager that most (NOT ALL) thought were right for the club and look where we are now.

Giving up on Everton (which is what football is to me) isn't an option mate. It's like saying giving up on breathing.

I've gone with the flow for over 50 years (40 years of attending live games but only last 4 or so as a STH) but this is a step too far for me. There must be literally hundreds of professional football managers out there. Now I'm, not saying that very many of them will be capable enough of managing Everton. But I am saying that out of all of them, there is one who I believe is the last man who should be given the privilege, and I've felt the same for years. The fact that so many other fans feel the same way gives me some degree of comfort, but also confirms my belief that his appointment will be very bad for the long term health of Everton FC.

You can't help the way you feel mate, and his imminent appointment fills me with dread and makes me sad in equal measures.

I've got to admit he would have been far from my first choice to manage us, I have always classed him in the same mound as Pulis, pardew basically a manager that's manages a premier league team that's always in the bottom 5. But he's here now we are probably his biggest club team job, so all we can do is see how things pan out I'm not sure of contract length but I would hope there's a get out Claus if all goes wrong, as we have wasted enough on wannabe Everton managers. Also his style has always reminded me of Joe Royles (dog of wars) style so we may end up 17th and an Fa cup win .
