2017/18 Ross Barkley

Watching the Sigurdsson goal yesterday, Mme. Abelard noted that had Ross found himself in Calvert-Lewin's position, he'd undoubtedly have immediately smashed it well up into the stands. Wouldn't have even occurred to him to pass, that close to the goal.

He clearly does possess a certain raw talent, but I don't think he can really progress until he learns not to be so utterly self-absorbed on the ball.

He's going to go to Spurs or Chelsea and spend most his time on the bench, guaranteed, and once he's not playing regular his confidence will be shot and he'll be a shell of a player he could have been had he stayed here, playing week in week out.

Biggest mistake he will ever make, and it can't be for the money because we can offer him a good deal here and have done.

Of course it’s done. He has to be sold to cover the overspend we made in the summer. Anyone who thinks he is staying is deluded

Sam knows exactly what’s going on he will have been briefed. He’s just trying to keep the illusion going that we are doing everything to keep him when in fact it’s quite the opposite

Sell to buy you betcha!

Boss midfield, and yes he will play.

Spurs are not in form at the moment but they are by no means ‘finished’ and no longer top 4 challengers even if they don’t get it this season. This ‘crap spell’ they’re in still has them in the last 16 of the CL and in and around the top 6.

Our recent revival still falls short of giving him much to think about in terms of career progression.

It’s just crap because he’s a blue and we’ve ran out of time to get to where players want to be! Lukaku as well...

He's been told Barkley + a couple of others are his January transfer war chest.

How did it come to this? We lose a class player and end up "gaining" two bozo managers one after the other.

Koeman takes full responsibility for this though. His appalling man management skills are the reason no contract was signed in the first place. The club should sue that divvy.

Poor ross ... always the victim and always blameless .

Of course he’s off and who could possibly blame him. He sees lots of players with less talent from his generation getting in England national team, playing for teams at the top of the table, getting champs league footy...

Meanwhile he’s stuck at shitty relegation troubled Everton who are near the bottom of the table and have just hired a hoof ball manager who dropped him from the England squad. His career is going backwards currently.

He’d be an absolute moron to stay here now if he has an option of signing for one of the top 6.

I do hope he’s a moron and stays though !

We weren't in a relagation scrap last season tho were we and he still didn't sign.. or was it koemans fault and now it's changed to relagation fights fault?

He is going down the road Wilshire went down ... he's a millionaire and likes to go out and be billy big bollocks in town. He wants to move for more money and to be in London that's it.
