Chelsea had £35m accepted in the summer IIRC, so if he's match fit on Jan 1st I think £25m is a fair price in this market.

I genuinely have hate for him, if it was Madrid or Barca maybe I might understand, but burning all bridges with your club/fans at your boyhood club who have looked after you through thick and thin for Tottenham Hotspur?

if he does go anyway and does it purely for a signing on fee then he's the biggest rat the club has ever seen, a horrible snide one

Everyone says he is off in Jan, so no signing fee. So why would he be going for money? Spurs offer less wages than us.

I don't think he will go in January... why would you with only 6 months left... if his signing on fee is 2-3 m in jan for example... we could potentially earn 12m for pretending to be injured for a couple of months... that's on top of what he will earn from us too

I tore mine too playing rugby when I was 17. It still hurts a bit now tbf.

But I was back inside about 8 weeks and had no proper physio or whatever on it.

I do still want him to stay btw but I think it's extremely unlikely so not gonna moan if he's sold.

..in this case, it appears he wasn’t being forced out. It is a case of the player not wanting to stay. The injury appears to have scuppered the inevitable outcome so a number of people who would’ve benefited are not happy.

He was never being forced out. He’s a rat.

The club would not allow it, he is either injured or not, you cannot pretend to be injured for 9 months in 2017
