If true, and don't doubt you for a second on this mate, that's a shocking attitude for employees of the club to have, and won't care a jot if we end up getting anyone whose more after their own pocket than the good of the club out the door - talking about staff who wanted to see him out for their own personal financial gain btw.

..in this case, it appears he wasn’t being forced out. It is a case of the player not wanting to stay. The injury appears to have scuppered the inevitable outcome so a number of people who would’ve benefited are not happy.

Why would staff members be on a cut of his transfer fee?

It's not mate, it's something that 'can be' used by clubs in order to 'motivate' staff working in the youth development system, call it a productivity bonus etc, effectively rewarding them for players they produce essentially. Like most things though it can be abused

Also been cases where scouts have had it written into their contracts that they get a small % of any profit made on players they have scouted in as well mate if they are sold on for a profit etc

I'd understand scouts getting a bonus should a local lad make it to the first team etc, but a slice of their asset value in 2017? Nah, not having it.

He could have gone in the summer despite the injury anyway, but he chose not to.

He's an utter helmet, a thick dope who's been lead by the nose by a greedy agent. I never want to see the thick prat ever wearing the shirt again, good riddance.

Because it's a very frequent thing at virtually every academy system in the country. And it's common knowledge as well, not some sort of conspiracy.

Please don't tell @Eggs he's talking "total BS" when he knows far more about the academy system, and football in general, than 99% of people on here.
