Re' Barkley there is more to this than we appreciate and I think the roots are back in last season under Koeman. So Barkley is completely disenchanted possibly because of lack of support from higher up. As you say it should never have got to this stage, the injury did not help. But for that under Allardyce Barkley may have been more reassured, I fear though it is beyond repair!

I think he wants to get out of the City tbh. Wasnt that long ago that a notorious gangster was after him and Got knocked out in a club in liverpool. I dont think its a coincidence that the gangster gets out of prision and he gets hit in liverpool. I think its non footballing reasons tbh. Koemans treatment of him last year probably didnt help aswell. Dont think we will ever know the true reason of why he wants to go until when hes retired. Thats what i gather from the situation anyway. Please correct me if anyone knows any better than me. As i dont know the guy. Just reasing between the lines.

No he didn't, to say he made him an outcast is like saying he singled him out, he did nothing of the sort as much as the Ross apologists want to believe it, he treated a lot of players badly.
Beside filling the players with players in that position, what was he meant to do, if Ross wont sign we need to replace and we got much better players anyway

He played in 36 games in the league last year so he wasn’t an outcast at all. Koeman filled the team with replacements because he wants to go.

I hope he stays but he certainly hasn’t been pushed out of the club

Ross was allready wanting out or he would of signed by then anyway, so Ronald didnt help matters I agree on that and i do now think his attitude was poor but it was nothing personal against Barkley as he was the same with other players, besides Ross was already planning his snide move by then anyway

Hardly a snide move, just think the whole saga could have been handled better, if he doesn't want to stay, let him go on good terms and realise it was a mistake and come back, that's what would have happened in my opinion, similar to Pineaar when he left for Spurs

I don’t think he cares. But hey call yourself an Evertonian. At least Rooney’s fee was an acceptable one at the time and save the club from liquidation.

I hope the board would learn a lesson this time. If a player who could be sold for a good fee is not signing a new deal we better get rid of him asap not letting him running down his contract till the last 6 months. This is real bad business from the club’s perspective.

I take exception to this, Rooney fee was never acceptable in any way to me. I said at the time it was daylight robbery considering Ferdinand went for more and he was a defender. Looking back they took advantage of our money problems. He broke the United goalscoring record so I think we really didn't get the better deal.

I said the same about Stones last year, will be at city for 10 years, 5 million a year is nothing for potentially the best centre half in the league. No one dare tell me VVD is £25m a better player.
