I take exception to this, Rooney fee was never acceptable in any way to me. I said at the time it was daylight robbery considering Ferdinand went for more and he was a defender. Gylfi may score a 25 yarder every 6 or so games but he rarely has any sort of influence beyond this. He never imposes himself on a game. Ross even at his worst never stops looking for the ball and trying to dictate play. I'd much rather have that in my team than someone that jogs about a bit and puts in the odd decent corner.

Ross was very often Anonymous. And would often let defenders and midfielders waltz past him with the ball with no hint of a challenge.
Someone getting the ball and dithering with it, is not ‘dictating play’.
