2017/18 Ross Barkley

I take exception to this, Rooney fee was never acceptable in any way to me. I said at the time it was daylight robbery considering Ferdinand went for more and he was a defender. Looking back they took advantage of our money problems. He broke the United goalscoring record so I think we really didn't get the better deal.

I said the same about Stones last year, will be at city for 10 years, 5 million a year is nothing for potentially the best centre half in the league. No one dare tell me VVD is £25m a better player.

Unfortunately the club have to take a small sum like £15m in January in this crazy market because he runs his contract down to the final 6 months.

Why mate - one is a striker the other isn't, much more likely top see Niasse leaving because of that player

Because we're sell to buy. Lines up too cosily - remember, we were looking to spend similar on a striker in the summer but that went wrong as soon as the Barkley transfer fell through.

Noit didn't. he stayed at arsenal, nothing to do with Ross deal.

Gylfi may score a 25 yarder every 6 or so games but he rarely has any sort of influence beyond this. He never imposes himself on a game. Ross even at his worst never stops looking for the ball and trying to dictate play. I'd much rather have that in my team than someone that jogs about a bit and puts in the odd decent corner.

Ross was very often Anonymous. And would often let defenders and midfielders waltz past him with the ball with no hint of a challenge.
Someone getting the ball and dithering with it, is not ‘dictating play’.
