And out of the two of them I'm willing to bet it is Ross.


Moshiri came forward of his own volition to offer an explanation to the fans. That is something we haven't seen Ross do. He didn't do that to make Ross a villain, he did it because (I believe this) he felt we were owed an explanation and none had been forthcoming the entire summer from that rat snake.

I cannot for the life of my come up with a logical reason for Moshiri exposing himself to the risk of being publicly humiliated or losing face over telling lies to Jim White on deadline day. What interest of Moshiri's does that serve? Apart from heading off some fan confusion I don't see how he benefitted from possibly telling porkies that day.

Now Barkley on the other hand? I can think of plenty of reasons why he would want to come out in front of the owner saying he walked away from a medical. The fact that it paints him as an utter bell end being first and foremost.

I see where you're coming from. To me, if he took the medical or began to take it, he obviously agreed to go there, deal done between him and club. which is why i dont buy the stuff that Spurs suddenly changed his mind.

I did see at the time few people claiming his medical showed the injury to be worse than first thought, and it was agreed to come back to it this month. Find out soon either way.

I just cannot see what Moshiri would gain out of telling that lie though.

  • It doesn't make Ross more valuable to other clubs, it makes him look unprofessional.
  • We obviously were willing to sell him when we accepted the bid so it wasn't a change of heart on our behalf.
  • It doesn't make us look any better


So why? Why would Moshiri want to go public with such a lie?

I can't see why he would expose himself to the risk of being caught out lying on national telly.

I think him being an accountant and wanting to be the trendy owner on TV might of come into it..

Didn’t he do exactly that when talking about James McCarthy to Jim White ?
