2017/18 Ross Barkley

Would Barkley be leaving if Koeman hadn't have pushed him to the door last season with the owner's blessing?

There's no way back for Barkley because the owner decrees it. Moshiri after the Chelsea "deal" collapse: "technically he will still be an Everton player".

Technically.

What a 'kin disgraceful comment...and that after he repeated the falsehood that Barkley and his agent had been at Chelsea that day undergoing a medical. A liar as well as a grossly incompetent head of a football club.

Dave he has refused any new contract, he refused a move to a team (which if his motivation was winning things) he would have accepted, he has stayed silent on the entire issue throughout - which initially can be seen as a positive, but the longer the situation dragged on the situation changes and he should have said something, be it negative positive or whatever.

Now let us see if he ends up moving in January or on a free in the Summer, but if he goes to Chelsea on a free - he's an utter snake, and if he goes to Spurs, similarly he's showing his true colours as having had that move lined up for a long time.

Club had only several options, offer a new contract - they did, try sell him before his contract ran out - they tried, or let him walk on a free.

For any blue to choose that latter one, nah mate, utter cretin and he will go down with the likes of Barmby in my eyes as a total piece of crap who i hope gets snapped next time he plays against us

There was always that little gossip going around and apparently advised if he valued his health to leave, but the who really knows. Only one person and that is Ross, do you think he will make any sort of statement?
Think the individual he was warned by, has bigger fish to fry. In saying that if he came across ross he might have bingoed him like another hero did :)

But the 35 million question is who is responsible for the deal collapsing. Conventional wisdom suggested Chelsea.

Good grief, wonder is that is really true, hard to believe for me.

Yep. Was told by couple of staff they havent seen him this season. They didnt seem like they were the waffeling type. Would'nt be suprised tbh. Say finch farm for rehab and then home till he gets his london move. Cant imagine he is out in town much either.

As a season ticket holder who watched him develop and join 1st team other than maybe a handful of games, I firmly believe he is bang average. I was shocked we offered him 100k, I was even more shocked he turned it down. People say we need him now and he probably would improve us slightly, but we are absolute dross atm and had to panic appoint a fire fighter to avoid a complete disaster. If we were still pushing top 4 like we were few years back then for me he isnt good enough. The perfect example of a bang average prem player....I wont lose any sleep thats for sure and I think he could of handled it better to not screw us out of a hefty transfer fee but hey ho

Filthy Judas Scum

Not really, hope he does well wherever he goes... his careers stagnated significantly in the past year and a half so can understand him wanting to switch things up.

Not overly arsed about a lost fee, not my money and I’m sure our multi billionaire owner will find a way to cope.

Pretty gutted mind you, my favourite Everton player.

If Barkley is bang average then God knows what that makes the rest of the players in our squad.

Barkley has flaws in his game but they'll be far better hidden with quality players around him. Let's be honest, if anyone is bang average it's our club and putting emotional ties to one side he's far better off getting himself out of here in order to develop himself as a player.

Well, if you think being hit in the face, by the King-pin of Liverpool (or someone in that league), is only gossip, then by all means.

There is a case to be made that there is a siege mentality against the fans with the so called golden boys. A few people who have interviewed the likes of lukaku, ross, stone's etc have mentioned the fans heavily. I remember rat rednknap saying it after interviewing Ross mentioning the fans thinking he will go and that was well before anyone gave it a thought. I remember Henry interviewing Lukaku and saying it about the fans. Then before the earlier game against United they disgust if Lukaku will celebrate if he scored and the panel said surely not. Then Henry weighs in with a 'trust me , he will, something about Everton fans and how they behave.

The golden boys were in a clique and must have made a pact to get away and all agreed it was them against the fans. Blamed us and not them. I understand stones and lukaku but Ross? Then I thought about how stupid and consequently easily manipulated he must be. I bet he keeps up with stones and lukaku and the daily. Great escape nearly fully complete.

I'd say lukuka may have been the instigator. Gave us goals but ignited a cancer...... or do we look at ourselves?
