Offensively England were poor tonight. Hopefully be a lot better against Sweden who will rarely care about getting past the half way line.

For me the system is badly missing a play maker in there. Alli, Sterling and Lingaard aren't that type of player. No idea why Kane was playing so deep either.

As much as I’m not arsed about England, if a Brazil media fella does that everyone goes on about how great it is that the country loves footy.

Fair enough I reckon, although maybe over the top. If Everton won on the world stage like that I’d be swinging my cock about.
 


colombia had 4 shots on target and we only had 2

other than the pen we only had 1 other shot on target in 120 mins

that is poor

according to the fifa world rankings the teams left in the world cup are ranked:-

Uruguay (14) v France (7)

Brazil (2) v Belgium (3)

Sweden (24) v England (12)

Russia (70) v Croatia (20)

Colombia were ranked 16th in the world

so according to Fifa we will have an easier game against Sweden in the Quarter Finals

Fifa rankings are garbage lol think we were #2 after we lost the Confed Cup final in 2009. Not to mention it wasn't full strength Colombia. Honestly think Sweden is a harder game for you then Colombia

one i work with said he wasnt interested in watching England as he couldn't support a team full of players he hated every other week in the prem playing for other clubs.
i said most of the other international teams are also full of the same type of players you hate playing for other prem clubs every other week so that makes you either a hypothetic or not intrested in the world cup.

doesn't go the game and i love reminding him i have seen his beloved club live more times than he has.
saying that the majority of the reds in work are supporting England, even they think he is a weirdo.

I agree. Sweden are a more talented version of Iceland. 4-4-2 compact and hard to score on with solid counters through Forsberg and dangerous set pieces on their side. It's worked against England before
