Well I'm hardly an England lover, and I'm English - also a lifelong Evertonian so where does that leave me? I just don't love England the way I love Everton and it's always been that way for me.

Don't get the mean spirited people in here who hate England but cant wait to comment an how much they hate England, bit weird that. I am like the vast majority of scousers who don't care one way or the other, sure some probably hate England (we have a lot of Irish, Welsh, Scottish blood here) but the rush to be the most anti-English poster is quite embarrassing. I am happy for the places that are patriotic and it is definitely a boost to the country, economy also. So whilst I know we aren't the greatest team I can site back and enjoy this as we have got further than I thought. What with austerity, Brexit dominating everything, crap zero hours contracts etc. if it helps any of our fellow citizens feel better for a brief while then I am all for it.

What? The media not talking about them or bigging up one of their players every single week, and you think the attention they crave is from one person on an Everton forum?
 
This is a thread about Englands match, have a look how many times the RS are mentioned in posts. What have the attention or not the RS get from the media got to do with England ? The focus of the media is on the WC as you would expect so its hardly something unique.
 

Still annoyed at that useless get Ospina doing nothing whatsoever to try and put the England players off. Keepers should always try and get inside the opposition's head at times like that. Whether waving their arms around, moving along the line, wiggling their legs like that cart Dudek did to put off Shevchenko, delaying the taking off the pen by walking up to the spot, anything basically. But Ospina the total wuss just stood on the line like a good boy and let England smash the ball past him with ease.
