I think they've come a long way in a short time - last November they lost to Turkey and Austria in high-profile friendlies. The last three tournaments were disastrous. This was something positive.

They'll likely go deep at the World Cup as they've definitely turned a corner.

Tough one for Germany. Far better side on the day, Nagelsmann bottled it not starting Wirtz and then Taylor did what Taylor does. Great game of football though.
