Looks like the NCAA slapping one of its cash cows on the wrist, while hammering a "lesser" school to show how tough they can be on enforcement.

FIFA and UEFA shrugged at Xhaka and Shaqiri making an Albanian nationalist gesture at the Serbian bench six years ago. I don't think we can call the adjudication fair or consistent, here. The message is, "We don't like the Serbs, we don't like the Turks and we definitely don't like Turkish right-wing politics." That may be true, but it's not a good message to send.

Hypocrisy like this just provides oxygen to the ultra-right nonsense. They'll see racism and religion, where reality is dollar signs more often than not.

There’s been a lot of handwringing about the quality of this tournament but we’ve gotten 3 weeks of football with some great moments, games and goals. And here we are with four fantastic and high level quarterfinals starting with hopefully two awesome games today. I’m very excited so hopefully they live up to it.

Can understand Sane because you need pace and directness but what in gods name is Emre Can doing on the team sheet?
