Superb news that mate, made up for both of you !



There's two reasons for that support mate.

Firstly, it's a human response to feel empathy with folk going through tough times, regardless of how well you know them, or how much you like them ( or not ).
Secondly, anyone that's dealt with you, or knows anything about you, knows what a lovely bloke you are.

Just catching up, sounds like an unthinkable NYE. Delighted to read through the 'story' and while she is not there yet, she is on the mend and positive signs. Best wishes to you both @roydo

Just catching up with all this...I'm so sorry to hear of your troubles, but I also read that a full recovery is a big possibility. The best gift for the new year! Strength to you and yours, good sir!

Well blow me down. Moved her to their Long Term Recovery room, (still ICU mind), today, so its official. She is Middle Aged Women in hospital now. Can take that.

She isnt well yet, and as they develop her recovery they dont know what might be unearthed, but she is awake, aware, and responsive.

And by a twist of fate, the doctor that did her CPR on NYE was there, so I could thank him properly. He admitted he didnt think she would have pulled through.

So, for now, we are ok.

Thanks again, it meant a lot, and I will show Nikki this thread when she is home.

Brilliant news. Put a bleeding big smile on my face so christ knows how you must be feeling. Onwards and upwards, she'll be back home where she belongs soon enough. Absolutely thrilled for you pal

Amazing. Over the moon for you both. Not that I recommend having to go through this type of event but not many people get the chance to start totally afresh, but being that close to a life so different must make that a reality in this case. I bet everything will feel like the first time.

Hopefully she doesn't decide to trade you in now but I bet you would have given your right arm to be in that position on NYE.
