It must be depressing for him to come here from Real Madrid, have the impact that he has had and still find himself a squad man in a midtable side. I'd like to think that he'll get more starts when Donovan goes back, but Moyes will just use Osman, Coleman or Rodwell on the right instead. Drenthe would be a sensational freebie for someone like Newcastle. Spurs could well go in for him too. It's so frustrating.

I'd rather have Drenthe flying at fullbacks. I also think Pienaar would be better at unlocking the defence.

All three of them could interchange positions. When we're defending though I think Pienaar dropping back on to Baines would leave us less exposed.

Do you think Round ever tries to get Moyles to play like that?

I think Donovan would be great behind a big striker. Drenthe's best on the right. Pienaar gets the best out of Baines from left mid.

It picks itself if you ask me. Contrary to what the Equaliser said on here earlier (think it was him) they're not all rigid widemen. Pienaar is very comfortable centrally and Landon, going by what Americano experts like Kay say, is good centrally and very used to playing there. Klinsman seems to see that as his best role.

All three are accustomed to roaming. A three pronged attack would test most defences without necessarily making us any more vulnerable.
