So if he came on today and got booked and missed Chelsea are you saying you wouldn't be going "MOYLEZ FFS!!!!!"

I KNOW you would lid.

I know this debate is over, but you're barking up the wrong tree here. No, I wouldn't be going "MOYLES FFS"

So that's where my soup went.

Back on top; Drenthe won't stay.

Whether you want him to is irrelevant and there's not enough quantitative data to prove his worth one way or the other. On the one hand he can provide an attacking threat and is so unstable defenders can't figure out what he's going to do as much as he can. He is skilful and opens up room for other players.

On the other he's a liability, has been a bad influence in all the other clubs he's been at and doesn't fit into the Moyes/Everton ethos.

Once Donovan and Pienaar leave we're back to zero creativity again, which makes Drenthe precious to us.

Glad to know someone else is freaked out by this. I was so so so grateful to see Pienaar have a good game today because at least he and Baines can storm the castle from Mar - May + FA Cup.

Course, anyone playing us can just focus on our left side starting March 1st.

I think Donovan would be great behind a big striker. Drenthe's best on the right. Pienaar gets the best out of Baines from left mid.

It picks itself if you ask me. Contrary to what the Equaliser said on here earlier (think it was him) they're not all rigid widemen. Pienaar is very comfortable centrally and Landon, going by what Americano experts like Kay say, is good centrally and very used to playing there. Klinsman seems to see that as his best role.

I refer you to my post earlier. Here it is in it's exactness:

"Because all 3 are at the club as wide players, like it or not. When Cahill went off Anichebe should have come on in his stead."

Nothing about rigidity at all. Only an inference that the manager sees them as wide players. I make this assumption because he has yet to play any of them in the role behind a lone striker. Not that any of them wouldn't be capable of doing that, you understand.

As I also said in the post, my preference would be to play a 2nd striker in that position. Today that would have been Anichebe, because I think he deserves it due to his recent performances and goals.

But because he doesn't 'fit', has an ego and can't defend....we have to sell and player or two and find someone different

In all honesty, it'll be interesting to see what Moyes does once Landon goes. Haven't a clue who will be played out there since Roy can't get time.

Vic? Osman? Coleman when he's finally healthy?????? Heaven forbid, Rodwell?!?!?!?

He can't have that much of an ego if Moyes has kept him involved this long. He might not be in the same class as Pienaar at covering Baines, but he looks willing and capable of doing the job. He just needs a bit of coaching with the rash challenges. It would be madness not to take him. Even if we do bring in someone else we're going to need more than one winger at the club.

Pienaar's played there for us.

Exactly. We've got two wingers at the moment and we're still struggling to create anything. We need as many 'creatives' as we can lay our hands on.
