I don't see why he needs to be a rival. Myko is a full back rather than a wing back. But I also believe he would do a great job on the left of a back 3, and play Vinagre ahead of him. Would give great balance to that left hand side and much greater attacking potency.
I think this too. He’s a better defender than attacker and it allows Tarkowski to go in the middle.

Well it's not a traditional centre half is it. Not in a back 3. It's a combination of CB and FB . There are still lots of question marks over his attacking prowess but we know he's a good defender. Think he'd dovetail into the role perfectly.

Azpilicueta never looked comfortable at CB or was attacking enough to be a fullback but he has thrived on the side of a three man defence.
I like Myko as left back in a back 4 but if we are moving forward with wing backs then there’s no reason he couldn’t slot in a back three if needed. He’s got better defensive instincts than any of Keane Holgate Godfrey

Hes not good enough defensively to justify him playing as a CB and as a CB, he would be mainly tasked with staying back, thus nullifying his attacking talent?
Im not saying hes bad as a defender, but it doesnt make sense to me.
I get people want them both to play, but tactically I see no benefit.
Well Myko can defend but can’t really attack. Scared to cross. Wouldn’t be a bad option.
So if we want somebody to defend, we could, you know, stick a CB in there.
We can but we don’t have any left-footed ones. We have to stick Tarkowski there which means we’re left with someone naff like Keane next to him.
The fact we haven’t done it yet, either after subs in a game last year or during pre season, suggests it’s not something they’re overly keen on.
I would be quite annoyed if we tried to shoehorn a left back we paid £15m for in at centre half to be honest - just sell him and buy a centre half if you don’t fancy him in the position he was bought for.
Personally I don’t seem to see it the same way as some other people. I thought some of his defending was a bit ropey but he had a good left foot on him.
