Rugby League at BMD

Is the pitch big enough for GAA games?

With Casement Park cancelled we should put ourselves forward to host All Ireland hurling and football finals. Get a bit of the cash that Croke Park takes in.

I'd rather watch a big Gaelic football game than a wool game like rugby that's always stopping and starting every 3 seconds.

No, but the All Ireland Senior Football final was played outside of Ireland once before in New York. ;)

Despite what others are saying here - playing the final outside of Ireland has happened before.

So you can ignore the preceding ill informed faux outrage.

I think once every year will be enough.

I always cringed for Man Utd when they were the venue for the big Challenge Cup final (or whatever it was called).
What exactly did you cringe at? The fact that they have a venue so sort after that they're able to regularly exploit it for massive financial gain and exposure? Good sound, business seems like a really odd thing to cringe at.........

Super League final. To be honest I wouldn’t mind taking that off them. Full house every year and the fans would fill the coffers of the club in beer sales. I wouldn’t want that ‘Magic weekend’ when about 6 matches are played over the weekend. It would wreck the pitch.

Yeah but why progress as a club mate after all their all fat and wools.. :)
Absolutely right BTW, it improves our standing as a club and brings in more revenue and gives our stadium more publicity.

Are there even 50,000 people in the UK who like rugby league ? An even worse version of an already abysmal sport consisting of posh grocks endlessly running into each other.

Never met anyone into rugby league in my 45 years on this planet.
Don't you watch super Mario karts every Sunday? I doubt you've met anyone who leaves the house let alone watches an actual sport

You're about 10 years behind the times mate, F1 is now a normie sport and the only sport on the planet where the female audience is growing faster than the male audience with 40% of it's audience now being female. The weird anoraks have become a minority, much to their annoyance.

They all live in places like St Helens, Widnes and Warrington. That's why. Who in God's name goes there to watch fat blerts who can't play footy ?

Yeah they have a magic weekend at Newcastle every year which sells out, decent little money spinner.

Bramley moore is close to the heartland of rugby league isn’t it so ideally placed to host these types of games.

St. Helens, Wigan, Widnes, Warrington, Salford, Leigh are all within half an hour and there’s plenty of Everton fans in those towns for some crossover.
