Eddie Jones will be licking his lips after Borthwick saying when he took over England were no good at anything….. France look very very good.

France very good and England were very poor.

Anyone else notice Curry celebrating what turned out to be a meaningless tackle when his side had conceded 41 points at the time .. Unaware and clueless!

England 2002/03, by a mile mate. Beat all 3 Southern Hemisphere giants away, then polished it off with a WC, again, away.
I'm not a massive rugby fan just a passing observer. England were fantastic that year as far as I remember, but the game moves on and they get faster and stronger.

Would this Irish team not steamroller that England team of 20 years ago?

I think most top modern rugby teams would beat any team from 20 years ago. The game had not been professional for that long, rule changes, and how national teams are structured, (most of the Irish team come from 2 clubs/regions for example). That said, if the England players from that period were playing now, they would still be top players.

But you are right. The game at all pro levels is miles quicker and stronger than it was back then.

Ireland v England next week. England will be looking for a response after that French mauling.

Any predictions?
