Running

Just signed up for the Liverpool half in the build-up to the Manchester Marathon. Just wondering if anyone had seen any decent sales online for running trainers?

Going to need to replace my current trainers around mid March but would buy now if there was any sales on.

Currently using New Balance 860's for the cushioning.
Sportsdirect” is my usual go to store for Sales but they’ve been disappointing lately , or maybe it’s because I’m after high-end Saucony which don’t get much in the way of reductions. If you can I’d say bite the bullet and get your new trainers early , treat yourself , you’ve got two major races to do and deserve the best shoes you can get! Says someone who when mortgage, kids etc dictated my spending bought the previous years Brooks Adrenaline GTS model in the sales for many years !

That's a good shout. Will take a look, I wouldn't mind paying similar to what I've paid for these and the difference to the decathlon ones I had done the half marathon in are night and day!

SportsShoes.com are often pretty competitive. I usually just chuck the model in want into Google and look through the shopping bit. There's always a random retailer with an offer or the previous season's shoe on discount.

Which is the way to imho, unless there's a radical difference in tech used between seasons (it can happen, but usually tweaks or stylistic changes)

Ooops, sorry @jackyboy it was SportsShoes. Com I meant to recommend not Sports Direct who are generally poor quality but cheap. We have a club discount for SportsShoes which helps and it’s their sales that are good.

That's exactly what I've done bud, found the V13 of my 860's for 85 notes rather than 140. Snaffled for my birthday!

No worries my man, thanks for the help. Think I'm sorted now. Currently planning a 6 mile route for Wanstead tomorrow morning as down in London this weekend
