Pass and move is the order of the day with Lego. Needs more experience, maybe a move to a championship side in January for development...

was underwhelmed personally. Not writing him off but the way some speak about him i expected more. Looks league 1 standard atm

Tbf I've seen him play better games, especially at winning the ball back and shielding the back line. But he was always wanting the ball and loved the fact he is confident enough to bark orders at Barry & Alcaraz!

I thought he did quite well...liked what I saw a lot. Really enjoyed the game as a whole...the only youngster I didn't rate much was McAleny...seemed to lack the confidence to make the final pass....on the other hand he got himself into a lot of good positions, so I'm probably being harsh on him.

Given what our team was made up of - 5 senior players coming back from injury with three of them out of position, two 17 year olds making their debuts and the other 3 young outfield players having about 5 apps between them - though we were pretty good.

Krasnodar were probably not playing at their usual intensity but I remember being very relieved when Eto'o came on in the away game as felt we were being overrun, they were pressing us very hard and just ran out of steam.

Poor Conor seemed very anxious, like he was trying so hard to impress he didn't notice Garbutt's overlapping runs and would try to beat 5 defenders by himself. Such a pity that loan last year had to be cut short because of the leg break as would have been great for him.

I thought he played well, first half he made no mistakes (wouldnt class a few bad passes mistakes) and 2nd half only a few creeped in when he started to slow down towards the end of the game, that game will have done him more good and learnt more just in that than he has probably learnt all season so far in the u21's league.

If i had to find 1 thing to be a bit overly critical of though is he tends to side step a bit too much and it leaves him not quite set when defending, case in point when he got megged and ended up having to pull the guy back in a hope of stopping him, you can tell he is trying to mimic mccarthy slightly but if he stays a bit more on his toes rather than side stepping into his position he will be alot more solid defensively, i love his commitment to a tackle though for a 17 year old, not very often you will see someone look to leave a mark on an experienced player in their first game.

He's got a hell of a long switching ball aswell, he has quite a few aspects that you would want to put into barkley to have to complete his all round game.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see him in couple of games towards the end of the season especially if we are still in europe, a loan at 17 i don't think will be beneficial just yet, 18/19 is a good age to be loaned out if he needs it but id prefer if he stayed here and learnt off mccarthy and barry.

Trying too hard would be a perfect description of his performance actually. He really did get himself into some good positions, didn't he? He missed Garbutt a couple of times...that's the ball he was missing.

Krasnodar played some really good football. I was impressed with them actually. Sure they were playing against a B/C team, but they really played some nice stuff.

I thought he was very good. Simple but effective passing (a couple of good long range ones too), very good positional awareness always available, never looked troubled with the ball at his feet, quick to close down the opposition. He didn't look like a 17 year old he looked very comfortable at what was a massive step up for him.

I think many expect him to be another in the attacking, Barkley, mould when in fact he's a holding player essentially. Technically very good, but not someone who's going to have you on the edge of your seat.
