I feel for you lot today.

I wouldn't have wanted BFS and rhe other 2 stogees any where near my club if I was a blue but ...

And it's a big but. The board have COCKED things right up so much that the team was drifting and getting worse. The uncertainty never helps. Players are lazy buggers and will look for any excuse to not put the effort in.

Sam will get them playing in a style(albeit a god awful one) that will get you steady and safe.

Then get rid.

Everton's a big enough club to attract decent managers. Once he's steadied the ship it becomes a more attractive position in the summer for a Tuchel , a Simeone and with bags of cash maybe even an Ancelotti.
Just hold your blue noses till the summer .

And the one plus with Sam is he rubs all the top 4 managers up the wrong way with his tactics including the rs.
School of science is coming back.

...Paddy Power haven’t paid me out yet so this might be a premature evaluation.

I was more concerned we hadn’t appointed a manager than I am that Allardyce has got the job. I respect the very knowledgable views of well researched and referenced posters on here about the spiral decline clubs go into following his tenure. I do think we’re a bit different because we no longer have a hand to mouth existence as many of his other clubs did.

I’m not ecstatic with the appointment but I don’t mind it either. I certainly feel happier tonight than I did after Sunday’s game. I can put up with an organised team playing % football if it means we have mid-table mediocrity for 18 months or so. Allardyce isn’t guaranteed to keep us up but I think we have a better chance than we had with Unsworth.

Game Over. I won’t set foot in Goodison (nor away). Nor sink one more penny or minute into Everton while Kenwright is Chairman and Fat Sam Allardyce is the Manager. All my family are the same. You’ve got Blues going back 70 years in that lot.

Change the motto while we’re at it

Saddest day of 48 years being a Blue.

Sammy f’ing Lee...

Its an 18 month contract. Sam will press the reset button and keep us up. Come the summer we can reassess the situation. We just need to get behind the team now.
