I think you bring up a great point that has not been mentioned before I think. On the other hand Walsh has shown how he is not capable to be our DoF and Allardyce has never been good enough. If they are still here after the summer I just think the fans will force them out sooner than later, so maybe it's just better to make wholesale changes in the summer anyways. I don't think I can take another season with Allardyce being our manager!!!

The time to change the Chair and CEO would have been last summer (pre-transfers) when the football side was functioning acceptably; we'd got into Europe. The business side was still shocking, exacerbated by abysmal SportsPesa and Angry Birds deals (check Rovio problems recently).

Now both are malfunctioning and you want to make massive changes at all levels AND clear out half the playing squad?!?! It is impossible.

If Elstone and Kenwright leave this month it gives Allardyce and Walsh a 6-12 month stay of execution. A sad reality.

You make a lot of sense there mate, but it still doesn`t make the truth, that it`s highly likely under those circumstances, that both Allardyce and Walsh will stay, any less palatable.

Even if Kenwright steps down ( retires ) and Elstone goes to off to ruin Rugby League, there`s still going to be a transitional period for who ever replaces them.

Unless all this has all been factored in by Moshiri and he has ready made replacements waiting in the wings ready to go.

*I`m clutching at straws.

It's not just those four; it would also be the entire backroom staff. Plus the new CEO will come in and if he or she is any good, will sack the lead for finance and the lead for marketing within months.

You can't make those changes and change the entire coaching staff during a pre-season. Would be even worse than it is now. And you DEFINITELY couldn't appoint Fonseca, who has no experience of coaching in the league and needs to come into a structured environment...

Grim.

The alternative is that he does it and just risks it, feeling there is nothing to lose.

It also makes this idea of just porting everyone over from Arsenal slightly less impossible that it sounds....

Could only see it, if he had so much money, that he could afford for it to go tits up and take the financial hit and not be arsed - a la City`s owners.

He`s not that rich, so it`s a very unlikely scenario ( imo ).

It's a weird situation alright, many of us feel that a clean sweep of the broom us needed, but, as pointed out above, the reality is mass upheaval in any organisation can be devastating.

Add in that we also probably need to bring in more players it could be a confusing and unsettling summer.

Unsworth can step into all these roles for a few months, he's our Mr Versatile.

Allardyce although unpopular is best suited to carry us through any transition...

Unsworth Was out of his depth unfortunately & would struggle over any length of time...

No it doesn’t, SAM WILL NOT BE OUR MANGER NEXT YEAR, duno why ppl think he will. We will have a new manager, Sam press conference said so last week.

“My talks with Moshiri are confidential”
You don’t say that if your staying.

You would say “Yes we have talks about next season and transfer budgets and what not”

If your going to do it you may as well do it all at once, no point half ripping a bandage off.

Kenwright and Woods will be going, whenever the option agree ends, could be Friday could be next year.
RE might turn down the rugby job but I doubt it. Sure Moshiri will find a decent CEO.
As for the manger and Walsh, it sounds like that’s already happening with the talk of the PSV guy. Allardyce was only ever short term and a panic one at that. He got the terms HE wanted, Moshiri offered him 6 months, he turned it down. He WILL be gone at the end of the season... if not before

Inappropriate Language
Is this a wined up?

The games we have won at home are against mediocre sides, come back on here after we have played city and the sh@£e and tell me then it is title challenging.

As soon as we play anyone half decent he parks the bus or throws the game like against Arsenal.

Awful and very limited manger
Well look at last seasons Champions (Chelsea), they lost more big games than they won so how did they win the league? By smashing the same teams you are bashing us for beating.

Beating these [Poor language removed] teams with regularity is half the battle, if it was so easy Bobby and Koeman would have survived. If Sam translates doing it at Goodison to doing it away AND is backed in the market we are a shoe in for top 4 next season.
