Like it or not, Allardyce was appointed by the board to keep us up (we fans might not think we were in trouble, but the Board did). He has achieved what they wanted. Why would Moshiri change?
Just to throw this into the mix.

I had a conversation today with a respected footy journalist.

He said that the word amongst the journos, is that Silva is red hot favourite to replace Allardyce.

I'm not claiming to be ITK, just repeating what he said.

Could well be buddy. If Elstone stays - not impossible - and with Kenwright staying, the conditions for a change of manager are there.

Nobody is disputing that buddy. However he's in, he has delivered his minimum requirement, the club is probably pretty bored of paying severance every year for the last two years, and major clearouts of playing staff and executive need to happen this summer. Coaching staff 100% safe.
I get what your say and I would agree with next season was a week ago buts it’s not, it’s 5 months away, we still have 2 months(yesterday) of this season to go, We don’t know when Elstone will leave but it’s likely to be this month, that gives us 4 months till the start of next season, not much of a upheaval and turn over. Allardyce probably won’t finish this season let alone start next season, but we will see.

Silva is ours? Je Suis @COYBL25

Silva has swerved Benfica btw

The extent of the PUBLIC backlash against Allardyce is likely to increase significantly over the remainder of the season. Chants, banners, phone-ins, letters, stay-behind protests etc. I don't agree that Moshiri will be immune to this: no only is it embarrassing for the public image of the club but it's a considerable drag on the progress of the "project" if the fan base is totally opposed to the manager.

For what it's worth, I don't believe whether the manager stays or goes depends one iota on whether the CEO is replaced. Time will, of course, tell. However the disastrous season on-field is only likely to get even more painful, leading to only one conclusion: Allardyce out.

Love ya mate, but you are wrong, Elstone, BFS and Walsh will all be gone before we start spending in the summer

To think that replacing someone who has been incompetent as a CEO would make them nervous about changing dof and manager also, exactly why?

If Elstone is deemed rightly as incompetent, then what effect - destabilising would replacing him have such as it would prevent another change or two at dof and manager level?

IF he was a very respected, competent one, then yup could see your point, but he isn't, he's the opposite, and him leaving i'd dare say would increase the chances of us bringing in a decent dof as they wouldn't have to answer to a clueless suntanned biff

Changing too many things is only bad if you are changing them for A. worse things, or B. If what you are changing has provided stability for the good.

Elstone has and is crap at his job, the stability he provided was a stream of stable dithering and incompetence.

The S'ton job coming up was the one I thought might de-rail the Silva train. That looks like it wont happen. So Silva in may I reckon.

As bad as this season has been, the Fat man has undeniably had to deal with the dross he’s inherited from Martinez and Koeman and we were never going to become Barcelona overnight as some people seem to have expected.

The players that he’s brought in are so far looking like great signings compared to his predecessors. I’m also confident he would still be a better option than Silva.
