didnt we have two on the bounce under moyes and there was a fair bit of anger then? bar martinez we keep getting managers who try and fool everyone that were far worse than we actually are. how allardyce thinks saving us from relegation is job done when we were 9th when he came is is crazy

Yep. Fondly remember a couple of games against Stoke and West Brom that have been the worst games of football I'd ever seen.

But he didn't have £200mill worth of "talent"

And I can understand why Moshiri made that decision. If I had £250m at risk my cheeks would be trembling too. But it wasn't my money and I think he panicked.

And I'm not making any praises of anybody by saying I think we have the 7th best squad. The reality is, even if we finish 7th and qualify for Europe, we have still made a huge backward step this season. I was expecting to close the gap on the teams above us, maybe even be a offering challenge for a CL spot, but the truth is the gap has widened massively.

Agree, weirdly we finished 8 points off 6th and now look where we are ha 8 points of 6th. We finished about 15 off arsenal and now we're just 8 off them after an horrific season and they've now sold their best player.

The positive in me can see some glimiar of progress ha

Yes, it all went downhill very quick...

Hope the fixture list is a little kinder next year in our early games...

Tbf, playing the same teams wouldn't be so bad as most of their squad's will be at the world cup. Something we wouldn't get playing half of the crap in this league.

Hope we get lucky like the RS do every year by having arsenal early doors.

Arsenal early doors? Get the battering out the way early then haha

A lot of Big Scam fans around.

I don't see him going now before the season end but he just cannot be here next season.

His long term legacy at most of the clubs he had managed is that of a plate spinner escaping before the inevitable crash as everything fell apart once he'd took his loot and scarpered.

I don't approve of his innate dodginess and whiff of impropriety.

If mocking him online as a big gravy swilling dinosaur is all I have to fight him with then so be it.

Big Scam out !

weird tho theres alot of parralels between us under koeman and allardyce, solid at home. terrible away

wonder if its just the foreign name and the fact koeman was a better player that blinds people a bit

i loathe koeman far more than i do allardyce for whats happened this season. the prick thought he was better than us too

This

Walsh might have signed the players but, as we now know, Koeman signed off on all of them so this unbalanced, painfully slow team was the one Koeman wanted.

I thought he did well in his first season, albeit I could never warm to him. When Martinez was having a tough time of it, I wanted him to be given every opportunity to turn things around because he had shown glimpses of being able to deliver something brilliant, but just as importantly, he had been warm and shown a willingness to buy into Everton and our culture and history. Koeman was cold and always thought he was just passing through.

My main issue, which continues under Allardyce, is that I don't know what our identity is. I don't know how we want to play football. We have no discernable "style" and this leads me to believe there has never really been a plan in place

The funniest thing will be when no announcement is made by the board any time. Why? Because the fans are expecting him to go right after the season ends, yet he's under contract for another year, so either the board comes out and say "He's gone", or they say nothing at all. But seeing as he'll be here another year, there is gonna be mass fume when it's all over the official site that he's planning another trip to Dubai with Steve Walsh and the first team in July, then ends up signing Jay Jay Okocha for a bit of flair in midfield.

allegedly walsh bought players to suit what koeman wanted too

He was hoping to land the Barca job one day by taking us to the top.

It didn't work out.

The squad is garbage at present! The idea that it's even capable of some sort of breathtaking brand of football is one of delusion. The football has been no better or worse than what is served up by 75% of the league, and its a damn sight better than the Walter Smith / Pulis style football that the Allardyce haters pretend is taking place.

Allardyce will oversee an overhaul of our squad this summer, and we will be a lot better off for it.

He won’t be our manager come summer.
