Agreed. But I still feel for the fans who have bought tickets. Might as well go and watch the U23s at Southport.

Mate, I'm going - I paid for the flights and hotel months ago in the full knowledge that it was the last game and could be a dead rubber (Although I admittedly thought it might be because we had potentially qualified).

The result is of zero importance now, so I'm just going for a day or two on the beer. I would much rather the first team and Allardyce stayed here and had a full week training together before the derby than them all going over there and it interrupting our derby preparations

If anything, the small silver lining we can take from our European disaster is that it's given us 8 days clear before the derby to train - and given Allardyce has only been here 5 minutes, that's a really good thing

Or you could say it's all completely avoidable had Allardyce kept his trap shut and not commented directly on another manager's record.

True but to be fair he was asked if he "was worried about Moshiris admiration for Marco Silva and what it would mean for his future at Everton"...

He essentially said that you can't compare their records...
Marco Silva responded saying that Sam was talking nonsense and that it wasn't possible to compare their records. They both pretty much said the same thing with necessary digs in order to defend themselves. Pure silly all of it.

Yes it is. I'd still have preferred a stock "can't comment on Marco but I'm here now and looking to see what I can do" etc etc

I still feel weird when I think about him being our manager but I have to say I like the 3 musketeers approach in Allardyce, Lee and Shakespeare, especially the headsets. Puts Steve Round to shame.
