Arent we all bar @davek
I'm very relaxed about his appointment. I hope to see him put together for us two strong derby showings and a top 10 finish.

I'd rather he was here than Koeman, let's put it that way.

Some people are getting worked up about him, and I understand that. But he's destined to be here about 6-12 months and it's pointless getting worked up over that.

It's not Allardyce's fault that the board at this club are an unmitigated embarrassment and a disaster.

Looking back I was not keen but now think He is just what our club needs.

18months.

We arent gonna sack a manager for getting 7th, with the right players in the window its very achievable.

Allardyce: do your research on him. That type of finish isn't his thing. He got Bolton 8th and that was it.

Ok, he'll have better players here, but his mindset is one that goes for draws rather than wins. You have to go for all three points to make a dent in the top end of this league.

Ive done my research on him.

@micknick tasked me with that very job.

Hes never managed a club like ours, in terms of prestige and also in terms of money to spend, im not for second suggesting he will take us to "the top", but he will certainly make us a bit more solid at the back and in order to get "results" at the top end of the table clubs, its precisely what you need.

I like what hes about currently, I have an open mind and will judge him on his tenure, I just personally think he will do enough to secure a 2nd season.

A 2nd season - No thanks

I'll start coming round to him being here after he convinces me he's good enough, just like it was with Martinez and Koeman, and how it would be with any other manager.

Not really arsed with any sound bytes he comes out with, he just needs to win games, that's all I'm interested in.

3:25 on this.

"Eurofa Cup"....again.

"It's a dream job, for me".

I didn't particularly want him but, listening to him it's obvious we're still held in high esteem and not merely a stepping stone, that's a change.

If I can now rid myself of the dislike for 'little sam'. Although, if he carries on with his ranting, as he did v Hudd, against Klopp and we scrape a 1 nil, then that'll be on the backburner for a while!

This is the real test though -
